What anime should I watch next?

I've seen a lot of things about vinland saga and I think it looks really interesting so I was thinking about giving it a shot. I'm a huge fan of Naruto/ Naruto Shippuden (Fav OAT) and other anime like death note. I was wondering if anyone had a good anime recommendation niche or not. 😁

Hi v1nceree, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch!

The users of this subreddit came up with [a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans](https://i.redd.it/0w1v880jtq661.png) and [an awesome longer flowchart](https://i.redd.it/vdzlkodz19c71.png). Maybe you can find something there that you'll like \^.\^

I recommend watching some slice of life then switching back to action, interchange them but that's not your question so...try AOT, or violet evergarden

Mainstream, vinland 10/10 JJK 9/10 Gachiakuta 10/10
Little less mainstream- Reincarnated as a slime 9/10. The eminence in shadow 7.8/10. New one i really recommend, first episode was an hour, pretty good just came out- Sentenced to be a hero 8.5/10 so far

Honorable mention- if you want to be really invested in the show, Death Note 10/10

Since you like Naruto, I would recommend Black Clover, Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer

v1nceree2026-01-14 11:47

I've been thinking about watching Demon Slayer. I've seen a bunch of clips and stuff from it and the animation is lowk fire

Yesss highly recommend Vinland Saga!!

Some other classic action shounen recommendations: Cyberpunk Edgerunners and Hunter x Hunter! If you're interested in trying out other genres, I recommend:

* Assassination Classroom (drama, action, comedy)
* Mob Psycho 100 (slice of life, comedy, action)
* Kaguya-sama: Love is War (romance, comedy).

Some more niche? but popular titles:

* Yuru Camp (slice of life, cute girls doing cute things)
* Konosuba (isekai, comedy)
* Summer Time Rendering (mystery, thriller)
* Orb: On the Movements of the Earth (philosophy, historical fiction)

Hope there's something of interest on this list!

I've seen cyberpunk edgerunners and it's gas ⛽️

Vinland Saga is one of the most intense, engaging and dramatic anime ever made. I wish I could have my memory wiped so that I could watch it again for the first time.

v1nceree2026-01-14 11:49

Just might have to watch it then

magnidwarf19002026-01-14 07:55

One Piece

v1nceree2026-01-14 11:50

I've never really been a huge fan of the premise of one piece. Maybe one day I'll get to it but I feel like at this point the show will be over for probably a year before I could even come close to finishing it seeing as it's so long. I feel like you also don't see that many cool fighting scenes until you're basically caught up.
