mushishi 蟲師
Mushishi is a calm, episodic anime about Ginko, a traveler who studies mysterious life forms called Mushi.
Each episode tells a quiet story about nature and people, focusing more on atmosphere and observation than action.👌

The Story of Saiunkoku (Saiunkoku Monogatari!). It's a reverse harem but I can say that the female MC's more of a Maomao with the way she thinks. I also suggest watching Detective Conan.

Colorcloud castle is the closest I've seen to apothecary diaries.
