What are you guys watching those times? I'm not even close to be even a starter on anime knowledge, so... I would like some tittles that are famous in the moment, it can be of any genre.

86 is good Haven't watched anything new recently so can't give new good shows
MrRos2026-01-14 15:01
Currently watching:
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3
Frieren Season 2 (airs on Friday)
I would totally recommend those two. Frieren is my all time favourite, but is a bit slow for some people so might not be your thing.
I also enjoyed a lot the first 1-hour-episode of *Sentenced to be a hero*.
That's what is on my current watch list.
Due-Pay53422026-01-14 15:04
Thanks
Uma-apreciator2026-01-14 15:05
Did you say any genre ?, Uma Musume Cinderella Gray

If you are new to anime, i suggest you make Myanimelist or Anilist account to track what you have watched since it also makes it easier for people to give recommendations later on, you can also use those sites to find stuff to watch.
Since i don't know what you generally like, i'm just gonna give few recs from this season:
Sentenced to Be a Hero
Wash it All Away
Journal with Witch
The Demon King's Daughter is too Cute!!
The Holy Grail of Eris
Shiboyugi: Playing Death Games to put Food on the Table
Roll Over and Die
Champignon Witch
Kaya-chan Isn't Scary
Scum of the Brave
Note that i have only seen a few episodes of those so can't say how they turn out to be on the longer run and also that there is more good stuff airing this season, many sequels for example.
dfiekslafjks2026-01-14 15:14
Just go to the MAL or AniList seasonal page and you can see what everyone is watching.
ElKevixlevix12026-01-14 15:19
Well, I recommend Place Further Than the Universe, Sangatsu no Lion Revue, Starlight Yaiba, Samurai Legend, No Game No Life, and Sanda.
Creative-Froyo-73942026-01-14 15:27
My favorite is Jujutsu Kaisen!

[Winter survey results](/r/anime/comments/1pzoyu0/the_start_of_winter_2026_survey_results/) cover the shows that are airing right now, good number of sequels this season and /r/anime's discourse is usually around what's currently coming out.

I'm watching around 50 airing anime and a rarity for me, two backlog anime at once. Queen's Blade and Pumpkin Scissors. Of the two I'd lean towards the latter.
Golden Kamuy among those is a good time with a good bit of past content to watch. Oshi no Ko S3 starts today too. There's also Toujima Tanzaburou wa Kamen Rider ni Naritai which is continuing from last season which is pretty fun and Fumetsu no Anata e which I think is having a strong season.

I just finished gachiakatu and it was great. I was watching 3-4 episodes a night which is rare for me

Some of the most mainstream or "famous" shows at the moment would be:
Frieren - Recent top rated show that is widely considered one of the best quality and most approachable anime for all demographics. Anyone who is watching anime these days has at least heard of it.
Chainsaw Man - Shonen action show that just had a groundbreaking movie that sold extremely well globally.
Demon Slayer - Shonen action show that ALSO justvhad a groundbreaking movie that sold extremely well globally.
My Hero Academia - Long running Shonen Action show that just finished its last season this past year, so it has a lot of current fans that watched the entire show start to finish talking about it.
Attack on Titan - A little bit older of a show, but one of the most influential and popular shows that really helped anime become mainstream.
Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood - Another slightly older show, but this adventure show was the king of ratings and the #1 anime on many rating sites before the more recent Frieren dethroned it. Many people still know and love this show.
Death Note - The last of my older recommendations. Death Note is one of the most famous anime out there, known for its crazy premise and amazing detective versus criminal cat and mouse style story. Almost everyone that takes a dive into anime is at some point recommended Death Note as a classic show to watch.

Here are some Great titles that i would Personally recommend you for starters.
\- Death Note - This is the anime I started with years ago and its still my favourite.
\- Attack on Titan - If you enjoy Plot Heavy narrative with immense action and extremely high stakes then say less. But let me tell you this, if u begin watching this and feel that its too complicated and not neatly explained then PLEASE give it a shot till the end of season 3. Only then will things make sense. Its narrative is tailored to be that way.
\- Demon Slayer - Has one of the greatest animation ever. Action packed with meaningful characters. Even the villains have backstories.
\- Jujutsu Kaisen - An action anime (Shonen) with one the greatest power systems out there. You will begin to love Gojo or Sukuna (not both). Its season 3 is currently ongoing.
\- Hell's paradise - Another action anime with a great story and an amazing lead. Its season 2 is currently ongoing too.
\- Fullmetal Alchemist - A Beautiful story. It has 2 different adaptations but i prefer - Full Alchemist Brotherhood.
\- Cyberpunk Edgerunner - A blend of emotions and Action. Beware its very dark and emotional, also contains sexual scenes.
\- Chainsaw man - one of the CRAZIEST anime out there. It's movie was released recently which left fans devastated.
\- One Punch Man - I haven't seen this one but i know its a fan-favourite. However its season 3 has gotten large hate recently due to a slideshow animation.
IF you like sports here are some anime related to sports.
Bluelock (Football)
Haikyuu( Volleyball)
Kuruko's Basketball (Basketball, Duh)
Ace of Diamond (Baseball)
One outs (Baseball - also has heavy psychological theme. More psychology than sports)
Hajime no Ippo (Boxing)
Let me know if you are looking for a specific genre and ill be sure to recommend you based on that.

Death Note is probably one of, if not the best anime to start out with. It’s easy to watch, good plot twists, good story, and it’s an absolute classic
