I remember Diablo meeting shizu but not rimuru when I watched season 1 last year. Rimuru just summoned diablo but I thought they hadn’t encountered each other yet.

When Rimuru summons Diablo when he begins his Harvest Festival

They meet when he summons him and a couple other demons using the bodies of the Falmouth army as payment.

Diablo was first summoned in "Birth of a Demon Lord", episode 11 of Season 2 of the anime. Volume 5 of the Light Novel or Chapter 68 of the Manga.
Fun fact: When Rimuru summoned Beretta to be Ramiris' guardian in episode 23 of season 1, Diablo had attempted to be summoned first but Beretta beat him to the punch. Diablo then planned on killing Beretta, but refrained from doing so because Beretta's body was created by Rimuru and that is not butler-y behavior.
