Made a List of Studios Ranked by Total Anime Produced in 2025

Made a list of studios ranked by total anime they are credited as the animation studio. Excluded anything shorter than 6 mins and limited the list top6. (Because studios with 1-3 is quite a lot). The number under them is their MAL rating. Decided to go with it because it has most votes out of most of the other sites and since already compiled the list might as well include their ratings.

Out of all Cygames had the best lineup with all 4 of them being over 8.

Cloverworks being the second best, having 5 series over 8.

Worst one is Imaginica Infos all of them being under 7 and their best rated one is based on an NFT project.

OLM are doing Pokémon Horizons and Beyblade X which continued from 2024 - 4 cours each. They're listed as doing Apothecary but a lot of the OLM key stuff was moved out to C-Station, it's a unique scenario.

IG also did Shinkalion: Change The World which aired a few episodes in 2025.

Really good year for MAPPA while PA Works did an outstanding movie in Miku but not so much on the TV show front.

Oh this is a fun chart you made.

CloverWorks is my favorite studio, and they delivered so hard this year. Its summer line up of My Dress-Up Darling, Rascal, and Fragrant was just absurd as a romance enjoyer. Dress-Up S2 in particular for me was the best show I watched from them since Bocchi the Rock. S1 was already great, but they somehow kicked it up another notch. That's not even mentioning how consistent their quality is with Spy x Family with the recent installment being my favorite yet, fun fights and emotional character moments in Wind Breaker, and I even have a soft spot for Guild Receptionist.

I feel like MAPPA is overworked. They seem to be taking on too many major titles, and I’m worried we might see an “Atari shock” in the anime industry.

Adapting a major IP into an anime requires substantial funding, as well as a sufficient number of skilled animators in both quality and quantity.
I honestly question whether MAPPA has the capacity to sustain this in the long term.
Issues such as low wages and the harsh working conditions faced by animators remain unresolved even in 2026.
