MHA You’re Next vs Heroes Rising for 12-14y/os
I run an anime club and the kids (ages 12-14) want to watch one of those two. I am curious which may be better for that age group.
I’ve seen MHA (not the movies) and know sometimes there are NSFW scenes I wouldn’t want to show (ie: Momo during the invasion scene or the hot springs scene) and wanted to make sure they don’t have anything like that.
Also would I need to worry about excessive violence/gore? MHA tends to be okay, but may as well ask.

Both are in the same PG‑13 “hero fights, some blood, no real fanservice” zone, but Heroes Rising has more detailed guidance out there and is generally considered fine for early teens with a bit of supervision.
Excessive violence and gore I mean MHA doesn’t have much of that that kids aren’t seeing already on normal animated teen shows. No one is getting their intestines pulled out or brain matter exploded over a wall. Just some bruises and bloody noses, or maybe a stabbing.
We watched of mice and men in middle school and I saw the bloke get headshotted. There is nothing in MHA nearly as violent as that imo.
I personally found all the movies much softer than the show. Studios tend to make non-canon movies not as bad so it can reach bigger audience and generate more money.
