I think Oshii was picked precisely to keep it grounded as per the original series. Curious who the other people are on the production, though.

VOTOMS was great, can't wait to see this. I hope it keeps the feel of the original

You could've just linked the video instead shitty Forbes https://youtube.com/watch?v=hPgSVYu4C6c

Really? You do realize that I have actually interviewed Ryosuke Takahashi, Kunio Okawara, and Mamoru Oshii, so is that really worthy of being called "shitty"?

What a timeline, getting another VOTOMS anime.

Lazy_Sans2026-01-15 06:21

Now that's an interesting combination I did not expect to see.

And I am all for it!

Asturaetus2026-01-15 06:23

Interesting. Let's see if the story is still connected to Kiriko Cuvie or something with a completely new cast like those last two OVAs.

Iliansic2026-01-15 07:34

Looks great. Though from the title, I'm guessing we are getting some new girl-pilot instead of Kiriko

oshii will destroy it because he's a fraud, literally anyone at sunrise could have done a better job than him

kjloltoborami2026-01-15 20:33

Literally the only reason not to watch is the cgi

_xXMockingBirdXx_2026-01-15 14:20

This gives me hope that maybe someday, someone will revive the zoids franchise as well.

Castor_0il2026-01-15 16:03

Directed by a hackjob washed up director like Mamoru o-shit? This is a hard pass.
