Practically no one is "good" here, and the ongoing train wreck is the only reason to watch the show apart from the character designs. You don't sit down for this and say "What a horrible train wreck, I hope there are survivors." Instead, you grab a bucket of popcorn and wonder how much worse it's going to get.
It's like trashy, scripted or "reality" TV relationship drama, but in manga/anime form. It's a dumpster fire that burns so brightly that it can be seen from space. I say all this as a fan of the series. If you go in with the mindset that you are here to watch terrible characters suffer the consequences of their own actions and you can find either dark comedy or pure schadenfreude in that, then it's a good time. If you want a feel good romance with characters who grow and change to root for, then look elsewhere.

Those are all 2010s Light Novel series, hence the anime is just an advertisement. Chivalry of a Failed Knight finished a few years ago so I highly doubt it ever gets a season 2 (Ending was great, highly recommend reading it if you liked the anime). NGNL updates too inconsistently, its most recent Volume was 2023 and "supposedly" the next is this year, but it's been pushed back a ton already.
86 Season 2 is likely in the works or soon to be in the works. Novel updates consistently and while it's novel series is not nearly the same in popularity as Slime, Mushoku Tensei, COTE, and The Apothecary Diaries, I could see us getting an announcement soonish, with a release date of maybe late 2026 to 2027 if we're lucky.

I remember reading "A town where you live" and just absolutely raging at it for almost a year. But I hated what they did to a good series so badly I kept reading.
It's like trashy, scripted or "reality" TV relationship drama, but in manga/anime form. It's a dumpster fire that burns so brightly that it can be seen from space. I say all this as a fan of the series. If you go in with the mindset that you are here to watch terrible characters suffer the consequences of their own actions and you can find either dark comedy or pure schadenfreude in that, then it's a good time. If you want a feel good romance with characters who grow and change to root for, then look elsewhere.

86 Season 2 is likely in the works or soon to be in the works. Novel updates consistently and while it's novel series is not nearly the same in popularity as Slime, Mushoku Tensei, COTE, and The Apothecary Diaries, I could see us getting an announcement soonish, with a release date of maybe late 2026 to 2027 if we're lucky.
