Before the third exam, when Serie talks to her sidekicks, there is a 5-minute info dump about mana. The author is not talented enough to naturally explain everything, so he needed one long scene to give us all the info we would need. This is just one example.

It's a high-fantasy show about magic. There's bound to be some degree of info dumping about magic, and for what it's worth they have been handled really well and the flashbacks were super cool.

The author giving us some bullshit explanation (a flashback) why Ubel actually can beat Sense, even though we know that Sense is supposed to be very strong, was handled very well and was super cool! It doesn't matter that it breaks the tension. And it doesn't matter that it happens every single episode and that every time something must be explained for the story, characters, or their arcs to move forward, there is either a flashback or an info dump that breaks the tension.
The exposition in this show is so bad and so random that it reminds me of the war arc in Naruto.

Problem is that the manga has been having super extended hiatuses. The manga's last chapter was 147 and it's in the middle of an unfinished arc. Chapter 125 was the end of the previous arc. A two cour season would be dangerously close to where the manga is. I would've wanted a 20-22 episode season to get to chapter 104, but I can see why the production committee would've wanted only 10 episodes to give the mangakas more time.

I would predict we would get to chapter 80 in ten episodes. Season one ended at chapter 60. So there's a lot of space between the end of season 2 and the current point in the manga. The problem is that in about a year from December 24, 2024 to now, there have only been 7 chapters released. There was a 7 month hiatus and we're currently in another one since October. It sounds like they're trying to convert to a healthier schedule. The manga is technically weekly, but had been functionally biweekly for years. Hopefully, making that official will make the schedule easier.

Nah, we have enough material for a 2 more seasons. Both El Dorado and Goddess Monument can be a season on its own. But it's probably better that El Dorado is its own season.

The issue is that if they did a 28 episode anime again it would stop right before the current arc in the manga since it has been very slow moving forward due to frequent hiatuses.
So instead this way they are pacing out the content with a season 2, season 3 and maybe a movie before season 4. This spaced out schedule also makes it much easier to maintain high quality.
