Cencoroll.

Technically, TenSura. Befriends one of the four great dragons because the poor guy is lonely from being trapped in a cave.

Campfire cooking in another world ______

Actually one of my favs right now! And I'm not even a fan of isekai.

What came to my mind were:

- The Ancient Magus’ Bride

- Somali and the Forest Spirit

- The Girl from the other side

Mushoku Tensei, the creature, Ruijerd

*The Weakest Tamer Begins a Journey to Pick Up Trash*

*Beast Tamer*

Takopi's Original Sin

😉

Made in abyss several times over especially season two but it is a very disturbing horror series.

Everything I am thinking of is horror in fact. When the cicadas cry, Shiki, summertime rendering, summer hikaru died (though this begins as the opposite where he is the only one who knows).

Not STRICTLY anime but

**My Daemon**

I've not seen anyone really talk about it, but it's a lovely story

Could be people are a little snobby about it not being 'anime' but it fits your request perfectly

EDIT - It's not anime as I believe it was made in Korea - but, honestly, if that's what you want - check this out, was on netflix I think

Not anime, but just look online on Reddit or YouTube for stories about “human tames apex predator “ and HFY (Humanity, Fuck Yeah). stuff like that.
