Why does Crunchyroll keep getting worse?
I’m trying to finish “Pass the Monster Meat Milady, but some some stupid reason the English dub comes out as a foreign language and I don’t even think it’s Japanese. Sony really seems to have completely given up on quality after buying Crunchyroll. Every decision they make is just worse for the consumer.
Now, this is likely an accident of an employee selecting the wrong audio file, but this kind of thing should not be possible if they had proper checks and balances instead of AI for everything.

I sail the high seas, ain't no way i'm paying Sony to do what they did.
After the fact you might have different tracks (or only 7/12 episodes of 22/7 due to the GJM release for it never being completed [](#frustration)), but for new releases you're almost always at the mercy of the sub quality of official versions.
Ya'll got your panties in a bunch because I don't waste my time with them Crunchyroll subs.
Whatever, i shared my two cents. I could care less about feelings.
Usually some nerd would correct you on your grammar here and say that the phrase is "I couldn't care less." But seeing all the big feelings you're having in the comments here, it probably would be a good idea to care less than you do
Some are bluray rips, sure, but those happen much, much later and aren’t necessarily th first thing to pop up. And if the blu rays are being provided via crunchyroll.., well
Do your research, you must be new
If you’re watching anything as it releases, clearly it’s not the blu ray version.
Before we subscribed to Crunchyroll we were with Funimation, and we liked the Funimation apps and function quite a bit. After Crunchyroll took them over (and discontinued Funimation) we really didn't care for how much lesser the Crunchyroll app and functions seemed.
However, I will say Crunchyroll has improved A LOT since then, and you can even see improvements to certain things today. Compared to other options, Crunchyroll remains one of the best places (if not the best place) to view anime via streaming.
General negative sentiment is a valid opinion, but when it ends there without any qualifiers I am not sure how helpful it is. You didn't like it, I liked it. Somehow I can understand why your opinion might differ, so I am not sure why you seem baffled.
Funimation is one of the streaming apps at the time that seemed to have worked out pre-loading much better than many other apps, so there was significantly less buffering when watching videos. The UI was clean and helpful. A lot of the colorful branding was present and, while not necessary, tied the service together in a visually pleasant way. There were a lot (A LOT) of other anime sites and apps that really struggled with organizing anime into legible episode numbering/order/season/etc. but most of the time Funimation organized things and labeled things correctly and well. Funimation often had a lot of different language options, had a wide selection, and was very affordable.
If you want to help change it, stop paying for it. There is no world where merely bitching online while still being a customer results in anything better. Pirate anime, buy BDs direct from overseas, learn japanese, or find something else to watch or do with your time. Doesn't matter to me, but don't reward Crunchy for succumbing to the inevitable temptations of exploitative market forces.
Oh yeah that's right, there aren't any.
I've already canceled my subscription and will use some websites instead
Whenever people bring up monopolies they always talk about active exploitation because they have a captive audience, but equally as bad is incompetency excused by ultimately having no real competition in their niche.
They can do this and still get money.
It's ironic how free illegal sites offer such good streaming. You'd think it would be the other way around.
Anyways, CR won't improve. You can give up hope.
