Need recs for my little brother
I myself only got into anime around 13/14, but my little brother (11) started showing interest bc of his friends. I'm trying to push him into it as I'd prefer him watch something with a plot as opposed to brainless yt shorts on the daily. I'm more of a mystery/sometimes action fan, so I need some recommendations for some pg (ish) shows, maybe action or high school/slice of life type. Thanks in advance.

The users of this subreddit came up with [a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans](https://i.redd.it/0w1v880jtq661.png) and [an awesome longer flowchart](https://i.redd.it/vdzlkodz19c71.png). Maybe you can find something there that you'll like \^.\^

Castle in the sky
Shaman King
(tell him to watch saiki K)
It’s cute animation and the characters are young children. Very visually pretty and it’s definitely a mystery.
Please DO NOT actually watch this. It’s mentally scaring.
My Hero Academia
Natsume's Book of Friends
Spy x Family
BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End
Hope those were of help. :)
I see action, adventure, character development, fighting against fate no matter how impossible things feel, facing your fears and accepting your weaknesses, etc…
It’s entertainment not a snuff film.
(edit: well snuff films are entertainment to some people too- scratch that part…)
