Hi Acceptable-Mix1713, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch!

The users of this subreddit came up with [a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans](https://i.redd.it/0w1v880jtq661.png) and [an awesome longer flowchart](https://i.redd.it/vdzlkodz19c71.png). Maybe you can find something there that you'll like \^.\^

Please don't take your list like it was homework. Just try a title that catches your eye and if you like it, continue. You don't have an obligation to watch everything nor a deadline.

I separate my list into categories so I’m less overwhelmed. Like action, romance, sad, etc and then I pick depending on my mood.

Acceptable-Mix17132026-01-15 22:06

Thats a good tipp ty!!

Prestigious-Elk99592026-01-15 21:35

I feel like it just depends what you're into. I prefer dramas and romances, and my favorites from your list are Nana, Kimi Ni Todoke, Clannad, Apothecary Diaries, and Attack on Titan (not a romance, but just a really good show). But there's other super popular anime that I just couldn't get past the first episodes because they were too action-y or whatever for me.

Try to figure out what you like and that will help you narrow things down. btw Clannad and Nana will definitely make you cry, so, do with that what you will.

I second the other comment. You will find the anime series. You won’t have to force yourself to watch the series.

Awesome list i’d also recommend hajime no ippo don’t be afraid to drop shows after a bit if you don’t like them

West-Ad-7942026-01-15 21:40

“Jack of all trades, Party of none” just started.

Damn are you terminal? Whats the rush?

I would find the genre you like the most and start there and just keep watching ones of similar genre. You have a huge list of greats, so I am not sure how anyone could tell you which to skip. People might even add to your list.

If you are in a rush, Monster and Nana are long. I would recommend getting to them eventually but they drag at some points.

re_nero30002026-01-15 21:57

Excellent. I don't know what you've already seen, but I'd add Akira, Your Name, Your Lie in April, Oregairu, DanDaDan, Re Zero, My Dress Up Darling, The Danger in My Heart, Solo Leveling, Rascal Does Not Dream, To Be Hero X, Call of the Night, 86, and Rent a Girlfriend (which will make you nervous, but you'll watch it day and night).

Muffin-zetta2026-01-15 22:01

If you want to watch those anime then yes, if you don’t actually have any interest in watching them at all, then no

ActualRound76992026-01-15 22:35

Stop treating anime like it’s a race. Take your time and enjoy it.

North5142026-01-16 07:35

You don't need to catch up on anything, it's not a job. I mean what is the goal here? You have a lot of great shows, so if that is the goal great.

If the goal is to get the widest view of anime, this list still falls very much into a bias towards modern anime. That will limit your understanding of the medium. I think the genre variety though is quite good, as is the demographic balance. Though again, you should only pursue that, if that interests you. Pick stuff that you actually find interesting,
