No it really wouldn't, because that would require the chick to actually be able to have knowledge of the franchise or at least have enough of a resonation of the core of it to really write a song that is worthy of Gundam. We all know that she's nowhere CLOSE to capable of doing so because again, people like her are just straight up POSERS. NOTHING MORE THAN THAT! You don't need to understand a language to know that with someone like her to know that to be for certain, so for one that hasn't been much of a worthwhile artist to begin with, it's more offensive in itself trying to put her in the same league as those that are actually GOOD musicians.

I mean Jacob Wheeler made the ending for Gundam Stardust Memory without knowing a single thing abt the show or anime in general. He was just in Japan at the time they were scouting for artists, and agreed to do it just for the fun of it. He wrote a story about some old friends of his, instead of trying to write something he didn't even care too much about. It fit perfectly despite everything, which tells me you in fact do not need to actually have knowledge to make a song for a show. SZA could very much do it
