Is this an actual character somewhere or is he a figure of my imagination?

I'm trying to find an anime music video series on youtube that features a teenage boy who I’m pretty sure has white/grey hair (bowl cut style I believe) who lives in a city (setting of the video series). He has a staff or stick of some kind as a weapon. I believe he fights crime in the city like a vigilante type situation and some of the scenes include fight scenes. I think his outfit is mostly black? It's been a few years since I've seen the series and I can't find it anywhere. I think the music was rap/hip hop genre but not sure. Cant remember the title I just remember the character and that the animation was beautifully done. Anyone know what video series this is or is this some crazy version of the mandela effect?! Help please!

In Gintama they use *wooden swords* but I can picture confusing them with a stick. That's the first guy that came to mind with white hair and a stick.

It’s not gintama. This is a series I believe is exclusive to YouTube. I remember the videos being short.

juances192026-01-15 23:23

if it was youtube exclusive are you sure it was *anime* or maybe some indie artist doing his thing.

Odd_River_43852026-01-15 23:29

It may not have been anime! It probably was an indie animation inspired by anime art styles. But to me it looked like it had strong anime influence. Here’s the timeline: I came across footage of it on Instagram reels a couple of years ago, looked it up on YouTube using the name in the caption, watched it, then never saw anything about again. Likely it’s indie. Or something my brain made up 🤦‍♀️.

Weird suggestion but have you tried using chat GPT? If given as much context as you can and asking it to find a few suggestions that fit those parameters it very could help find what you are looking for

Odd_River_43852026-01-15 23:37

Yeah I have lol AI recommended I ask Reddit haha! Thanks tho!

Internal_Fix_42422026-01-15 23:39

Actually I just remembered, instead of an anime page because it may not be anime, there’s a Reddit forum called tip of my tongue, they helped me find a show I thought was anime but indeed was not fairly recently.

Oh thank you!

Odd_River_43852026-01-15 23:19

I think it was similar to daft punks interstellar 555 in that it was a short series specifically animated to be music videos.

Possibly a tokyo revengers amv?

baseballlover7232026-01-15 23:33

Sorry, your submission has been removed.

- This doesn't appear to be about [anime per our definition.](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/wiki/rules#wiki_everything_posted_here_must_be_anime_specific)

- You might consider posting this to
r/amv instead.
