The energetic art direction reminds me of early 2000's anime with a modern twist. OP animation was beautiful and i thought animators who did this really thought about everything on the screen whether it looks visually intriguing or relevant to the characters.

I had zero expectations for this show and it blew me away. I think it's my favorite 1st episode of the season, it's the only one I kept thinking about throughout the day.

I just watched the first episode and I really liked it. If it continues like this until the end, it could be my second favorite anime of this season (because my first will be Medalist).

My only fear is that a lot of shows do [Meta spoiler]>!hold off on the confession and going out stage!< for a reason, and I'm wondering if something will be lost without that tension. But you know, I really liked Aharen S2 so could be a misplaced fear

I think the big difference I noticed between this and other shows with an introverted loner befriended by a cute girl is that normally it focuses on the male character who normally doesn't understand why the girl would like someone like him. But in this one, we mostly saw things from Suzuki's perspective, and got a much better vision of why she would be interested in a guy like that.
It actually made me feel a little bit better about my personality traits that I view negatively, since it showed a different viewpoint and how they can also be desirable traits.
