Everyone Says Fall 2025 Anime Is Weak — Is That Really Fair?
People keep calling Fall 2025 the weakest season in years, but I don't think that's fully fair or true. I broke down 5 shows that might surprise people if given a chance. Which Fall 2025 anime do you think is being slept on or going under the radar? Let me know in the comments.

It's completely subjective based on what you enjoyed, but personally I don't think it was better than any of the previous seasons in quite a while.
It's a great show, and nearly everyone who has seen it has praised it...it's just that, despite its success in Japan and the West, there's just not much discussion either, for some reason.
Since I started watching large amounts of seasonals back in 2021, I always make my Top 10 list for each season by season's end (and then revise as needed as I finish some series late or start and discover series I hadn't previously noticed or considered even months and years after the fact) and then my overall Top 10 for the year. So one of the ways I gauge how a season was relative to others in its year was how many of my Top 10 for the year originated from it. And it was two from autumn (Gnosia and Debu to Love to Ayamachi to!).
I'm still finishing and have yet to start a number of series from it, but from all those I watched, generally I found it in line with some other seasons where the premise of various series was very intriguing and appealing to me before the season began and before starting those series, but then I found the execution in practice was only so-so as they were rushed, writing was just okay, etc.
Like a number of series I was enticed by but ended up rating 6/10 which is just my decent/okay rating. My favorites from winter all rank higher than my favorites from autumn and spring had a larger variety of series I was more interested in in the first place and then performed better in practice upon watching them.
kaguya barely counts as a fall anime it aired at the very end of Dec in some places on Jan 1rst
couldn't they put anything else instead?
The only shows I had in consistent circulation were:
GNOSIA
MHA final Season
Toujima
and CinGray (Which was a continuation carried over from Spring)
That is dismal when I generally have at least 9 shows minimum to watch usually in a season.
This could speak different for someone else of course, seeing as shows like SANDA, May I ask one Final Thing and Spy Family 3 didn't click for me or just weren't my kind of thing but may for others.
Then consider all the massive disappointments that came out in Fall, such as: Dusk Beyond the End of the World, OPM Season 3 and WANDANCE to name a few...
