Why does Shiboyugi feature an all female cast?
I just watched the first two episodes, and in both of the games (don’t think this counts as a spoiler) all players are girls. It’s a death game, and doesn’t say anything about only girls can join. I got curious and read the manga to see if it really is an all female cast, and it seems that it’s the case. Is it just because of the target audience?

It's probably a combination of the target audience coupled with the fact that thematically the characters are portrayed very much like kept dolls in an observation chamber and most dolls are modeled after girls and women and considered girls' toys.
