It's not an anime "for" little kids, but kids can definitely enjoy it. There's nothing too complex, mature, or inappropriate in it. It's a fun show.

It contains references to alcohol abuse, but mostly for laughs without showing serious consequences of alcoholism.
There is also a scene where one of the characters imagines the protagonist wearing "suggestive" clothes.
The protagonist has severe social anxiety and, even if it is usually esagerated for comedy purposes, it is a theme that a young child could not understand properly.

The target audience isn't "little kids", though they may appreciate some of the humour themselves.
The target audience is teenagers and young adults, particularly those who are heavily introverted and/or suffer from some form of anxiety. As a result some of the jokes may go over the head of small children, but there's nothing really in it that I wouldnt be happy with a kid seeing.

Bochii the rock is more about social anxiety and the challenges one who has it would face. It's a rather wholesome and fun series, but the messaging it contains may be a bit much and hard for a kid to understand.
If you've watched Digimon, Pokemon would be a good alternative to watch.
Also, there is a series called 'Cells at Work' that I would recommend. It's a series about the body where the characters are portrayed as functioning cells within the human body. So long as you don't mind a little gratuitous violence inflicted upon monstrous bacteria and such, it's a series that's a mix of cute, wholesome, fun, funny, and informative about the functions of the human body. Just be sure to avoid the 'Code Black' series as that one is a much darker take on the series and is more suited for mature audiences.
