Looking for a truly soul-crushing anime movie
I’ve been watching anime movies lately and I’m looking for something truly heartbreaking. I’ve already seen movies like I Want to Eat Your Pancreas, Grave of the Fireflies, A Silent Voice, Your Name, and Weathering With You. Now I want a movie that feels even more painful and emotional, something that can genuinely make a person cry and feel empty after it ends. I don’t mind slow stories or tragic endings. If you know any anime movie that completely crushed you emotionally, please suggest it. I’d really appreciate your recommendations.

1. WorldEnd
2. Madoka Magica
There's technically a movie of Madoka, but it's almost 3 hrs and is a recap of the anime.
Still, extreme recommendation. Madoka sent me into depression for 3 weeks.
WorldEnd made me cry throughout the final episode and one specific song still makes me uncontrollably sad for a couple of days every time I hear it.
Edit: or Kaine/Salvation; Emil/Sacrifice; Song of the ancients of you're also a Replicant enjoyer
Most empty feeling a movie has left me with by the end. Pure cinema
But for it to hit fully you have to watch it after episode 16 of after story. Tho I watched it back in the day before after story existed and can testify that it still hits pretty hard if you have only watched the.first season.
Ride Your Wave had me sobbing
Watch the Battle Angel Alita OVA. 3 episodes, movie length.
