To me, Fist of the North Star is the seinen equivalent of what Dragon Ball did for shonen manga

Fist of the North Star remains one of my favorite anime, not just because it remains very weird and very good but because it has had a massive influence on the industry since. The whole seinen genre has been influenced by it, particularly when you see series like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure that came along shortly after.

Yeah shonen used to have more stuff that is considered Seinen territory now, that's why Jojo's were considered shonen at first but had to switch to a Seinen magazine latter.

Not really. Part 7's content is simply more suited for a seinen magazine than anything that came before it, plus switching over to monthly helps its production. It's not like it was kicked out or anything, especially when Jump still has things like Chainsaw Man or Jujutsu Kaisen in it.

FotNS was in Shounen Jump, same as JoJo, DBZ, and the many other series it influenced.

Its influence on Yuru Camp is certainly noteworthy.

It's a shonen, and seinen is a demographic. I saw step-sister shit or manga's similar to Bocchi in seinen section went I went to Ikebukuro.
