Which "Hero" anime should I watch?

Today, January 16th, is "Hero Day" in Japan.

Since there are so many great anime featuring heroic characters, I'd love to hear your personal recommendations!

Hi Kaz_Newtype, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch!

Tiger & Bunny was voted the number one series in Japan and it's about superheroes, so I'd say it's a good bet. Watch S1 > Movie 2 > S2 Part 1 then Part 2. There's also new footage in Movie 1, but it's mostly a recap while 2 is a sequel.

Actually to add on, Netflix has this one hit anime that they never gave the ok for season 2….. Its called

“High Rise Invasion” or something like that.

If Netflix renewed it, man…. That was a great Anime! That would compete with Solo Leveling if they kept it up but they gave up on it.

Only one I’ve watched thus far is My Hero Academia Vigilantes, which is pretty dang good so far. 6 episodes in and I can’t wait to watch the rest, if they ever fix the English dub issue.

Frieren, that's why season 2 premieres today 👍

Go magical girl: Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru (Yuuki Yuuna is a Hero). Note that S1 and the Washio Sumi prequel aren't *that* good on their own; the payoff is Yuusha no Shou/Hero Chapter, which for bonus points is even set largely in January. (The S3 Dai Mankai no Shou... has issues, to put it mildly, and can be skipped, but it does have a very nice opening episode and a good epilogue so there is that.)

Legend Of The Galactic Heroes, of course.
