I’m impressed with Minazuki. She can be pretty goofy but she’s got a great attitude. But I think Isaki might be my new favorite. I’m enjoying this gyaru version of her. Although it seems her normal self is going through some shit because shes unlike the rest of the pack. Wonder how our guy’s gonna help?

Hmm. Now I'm wondering how old all of these girls are, or at least Minazuki?

In the flashback she was watching a sailing ship, and judging by the people's clothes looked to be the type of stuff people would typically wear like ~4/500ish years ago?

Could've just been some sorta reenactment, but now I'm wondering if there's like some sorta bigger mystery involving the demi human "world"

Not sure the clothes were THAT antique -- I thought more like the mid-1800s.

I wonder just how much world-building this will do. Or will it be sort of haphazard? Not exactly DIS -liking this, but not finding anything special about it yet either.

Ehh, by the mid 1800's there were steam ships and trains already.
Some of the guys clothes in the front looked more 1800ish, but some of the guys in the back looked closer to high middle ages imo.

More annoying thing is that the MC just backs down whenever she acts out like that, instead of telling her to cut that shit, despite being their teacher. In this ep he attempted to call her out, but that was just sidelined for the mermaid girl's character development.

Which anime would you claim it most closely resembles? I haven't gotten around to watching this one.

Is it monster trivia reminiscent of the detail we'd see in either Ishuzoku Reviewers or Dungeon Meshi? Or even the Centaur anime.

Or is the monster lore not as creative? Like the shitty ecchi monster girl anime (the one with a Lamia poster girl).

I have enjoyed Demi-chan as well.

Usami is kind of a pain in the ass.

I'm a little surprised that they're operating under the Little Mermaid seafoam rule for the mermaid girl.

A werewolf girl but what she turns into is a gyaru is a bit funny.

We still haven't really met the other teacher that I think is going to be the love interest, but the science teacher is pretty good too.

I love Minazuki's personality. She's just a shining beam of joy.
Isaki is also one of my favorites considering I really like both types of her personalities, and fluffy girls.

This plot point of "you might end up losing all your memory" never sits well with me in any story. I hope all ends well.

Usami seems to get a lot of shit here. This episode I thought that she actually was toned down a bit. I found her more annoying last week. Even though I also think that she is really a little pain in the ... I hope that they will tone down her hostility a little bit, because it grows old very quickly.

When Oogami said she would become naughty and wild, I didn't expect her to go full gyaru mode. That was absolutely hilarious.

Also it’s funny Oogami turns into a gyaru. Cos her VA is Oonishi Saori who voices gyarus like Akari (Fuukoi) and Runa (Inexperienced Me and Experienced You) and I can only hear them

I want to give this three episodes but man this is rough. the jokes are more annoying than funny. The teacher has barely any personality and also doesn't really think or act the way I'd expect a teacher to. e.g. ***"If I was swapping with Minazuki instead, does that mean I'd be the one feeding her?"*** like no ???? wtf. are you stupid bro.

I knew I would hate the tsundere but I was hoping to like the other three more than I currently do. and there's more girls yet to be introduced which is why I'm hesitant to drop this just yet.

also, wow, you can really tell this was written by a vtuber

people already recommending Demi-chan, but *A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School* is also a very good option if you want a show like this without the ever-present feeling that it might suddenly turn into harem slop.

The interactions and dialogue are not good. The Mc feels like a typical light novel protagonist with not much personality. Basically a self-insert. Like, I feel like it could just become a harem series. He feels like a 16-year-old high schooler rather than a young adult.

Also, despite him being a misanthrope, as the title points out, the show hasn't really shown it. In fact, he says in his room that they aren't human beings? Which is technically true, but kind of a messed-up way of thinking.

The girls wanting to be human is interesting. And I assume that is Oogami in the last scene. The next episode is a make-or-break episode for me because outside the girls, there isn't much here.
