I find it funny that the *only* time Hansa ever got genuinely pissed off at Jester was when the latter complimented him by comparing him to the Burial Agency lol.

For context, the Burial Agency is the Holy Church’s secret squadron, composed of its strongest and most powerful members. Devotion to the Christian faith is not necessary. As long as they’re powerful enough and willing to eliminate what the Holy Church deems heresy (mostly Dead Apostles), they’re good to go. They also have the privilege of wielding Holy Relics as their weapons.

Currently, there are nine known members: the Director, seven seats, and one spare.

Not much is known about their headquarters or base of operations, but it’s assumed to be somewhere in Italy, or at least near Vatican City.

getterburner2026-01-17 17:10

Most people will be familiar with them because Ciel (One of Tsukihime’s Main Heroines and resident Melty Blood Top Tier) is a member.

AceSoldia2026-01-17 17:33

I guess if you seen or read Tsukihime sure..but I haven't so this is all news to me

getterburner2026-01-17 17:45

I meant that if ya don’t recognize the name you’d probably be more familiar with Ciel as a representative is all, she’s the one who you’d see their name thrown around every once in a while.

ZhuTeLun2026-01-17 18:04

God damn it man when is Tsuki remake coming to steam?

getterburner2026-01-17 18:05

Surely any day.

Sureeeeeely.

SensitiveCellist22942026-01-17 17:22

love to see so many people here talking about and explaining tsukihime stuff lol.

if only there was a tsukihime anime that more people could watch and get familiar with.....

kucingila2026-01-17 17:26

Well, there's the VN... Or Melty Blood

WhoiusBarrel2026-01-17 17:34

Adding to that, the Tsukihime Remake VN is available for PS4 and Switch and they have such amazing production that its hard to even group them with traditional Visual Novel.

za_shiki-warashi2026-01-17 17:27

The Tsuki manga is pretty good.

AceSoldia2026-01-17 17:33

That sounds insane to me.wow

JustARedditAccoumt2026-01-17 17:43

We've only really seen one of their members in action, but that one member happens to be Ciel from Tsukihime, and she's ridiculously strong.

Also, we happen to know who some of the other members are, and it really tells you everything you need to know about the Burial Agency's methods and morals considering they let a Dead Apostle Ancestor (well, he was kind of forced, but never mind that) and someone who ascended to the level of a True Daemon be members.

getterburner2026-01-17 17:48

Hey that’s not true!

We saw Merem in… 2 short stories for a brief moment and Mr. Dawn in… 1 Shot story for a brief moment!

And we probably know a version of Kiara even if not the Tsukihime one so like that’s like

More like 1.75 members we know including Ciel!

JustARedditAccoumt2026-01-17 17:52

And we saw a glimpse of Narbareck in Roa's backstory, which is... something!

den4ikUA2026-01-17 18:06

>Devotion to the Christian faith is not necessary.

In fact, one of the Burial Agency members is a Dead Apostle lol. Or, to be even more specific, a Dead Apostle Ancestor, which is even more wild.

za_shiki-warashi2026-01-17 17:05

>cyborg fighting monsters in the name of JUSTICE

We kamen rider now.

Also kinda wild that Caster can just casually ask Shishigou for hydra daggers just like that. Anyway, good episode, Hansa vs Dead Apostle was pretty much what I expected. Now to look forward to the next hype scene that continues from the cliffhanger this ep.

Frontier2462026-01-17 17:07

Now we just need bike riding like in Fate/Zero!

Rqdomguy242026-01-17 17:11

Well actually

Kamen rider doesn't fight for justice

They fight for life

getterburner2026-01-17 17:12

[You’ll be happy to know Narita was also getting in on the Kamen Rider jokes.](https://x.com/ryohgo_narita/status/2012533293904703560?s=46&t=sEeTM44aEmg3G8DP-ExQAw)

AdWide46902026-01-17 17:06

The chainsaw leg scene was just a single throwaway line in the novel but I'm actually surprised they adapted it this well LMAO

za_shiki-warashi2026-01-17 17:12

When you've got something as cool as chainsaw legs, you just got to show it in its full glory.

Hexenmommies012026-01-17 17:22

"Umm... Excuse me if I'm wrong, or if this is rude, but... didn't you have a fight in the police station parking lot the day before yesterday, Mr. Cervantes? Your body's about seventy-percent machine, right...?"

"...Oh, you can tell?"

"Yes. The flow of magical energy is geometrically altered here and there, and I don't under- stand it, so I figured it was probably mechanical! Wow, it's nothing like Rohngall's or Touko's puppets... Amazing! I've never seen a cyborg before! Can you shoot a rocket punch? Maybe a drill...?"

Hansa shook his head at the young man who had seen through his body's peculiarities.

"My fists don't fly off, and the drill's a secret. One of my arms stretches up to three meters, though, and it can launch grenades too....And, just between us, I've got a consecrated chainsaw in my leg."

Horaji122026-01-17 17:58

Somehow I think I know who is the "Young man" here... XD

WhoiusBarrel2026-01-17 17:27

Never seen chainsaws used like wall skates, but that was so fucking awesome.

JustARedditAccoumt2026-01-17 17:38

I can't believe they actually included it, and it was even more glorious than I imagined!

flashmozzg2026-01-17 17:45

CSM: Strange Fake.

JustARedditAccoumt2026-01-17 17:55

Funnily enough, this scene predates Chainsaw Man by almost three years.

Toge_Inumaki0122026-01-17 21:14

Pochita before meeting Denji

il-Palazzo_K2026-01-17 19:36

“That’s what I meant when I told you to move using your chainsaw, Chainsaw-sama!”

Bazinga80002026-01-17 20:40

You kidding, but they actually got sugiyama, the character designer of csm, to help out on the chainsaw scene this episode lmao

Ishan610972026-01-17 18:24

Another fun fact the character designer of CSM was the one who animated it too

lalindu1232026-01-17 18:44

The series director personally invited totos to animate the scene too.

Stabaobs2026-01-17 17:07

Hope you've been enjoying the Fake, here comes the Strange.

WhoiusBarrel2026-01-17 17:40

If anything, it's already strange seeing Gil this chill and jovial in his Archer form outside of FGO and Carnival.

JustARedditAccoumt2026-01-17 17:56

To be fair, he's more chill the Extra-verse games.

AdWide46902026-01-17 17:58

What Enkidu's arrival does to a certain golden king

Horaji122026-01-17 17:59

It's not that strange. Enkidu = chill Gil.

ZhuTeLun2026-01-17 18:02

This what happens when you get summoned to war with your homeboi

assassinshogun3072026-01-17 18:09

A Gil that has an Enkidu within a same city vicinity is a happy Gil.

Soluxy2026-01-17 18:38

As long as his Master is a chill nice person, Gil is very chill. One of the hidden bits of lore about Servants is that their disposition or morality is silently influenced by the Master's own morality. It's not a lot, but it matters.

For example, a Gilles de Rais summoned by a psychopath and a Gilles de Rais summoned by a genuine good person will have two different personalities by the end, not a lot but it does happen.

Aileos2026-01-17 17:47

That thrilling moment you realize the number of Servants is about to double.

Se7en_Sinner2026-01-17 18:00

I hope they update the ED with the introduction of each new Servant.

alicitizen2026-01-17 18:07

It's already got woman+horse who hasn't appeared yet. Which is weird when guy at the end of the episode wasnt.

deleted-user2026-01-17 18:00

When do we get / ?

Stabaobs2026-01-17 18:10

Gil/Kidu

ZhuTeLun2026-01-17 18:07

God damn its Apocrypha all over again except its a free for all

Frontier2462026-01-17 17:07

Nothing more hype than a deadly priest fighting a psychotic vampire.

getterburner2026-01-17 17:08

As a fun fact regarding today’s episode, Hansa’s “Every member of the Burial Agency is a Walking Cataclysm.” Line was something Narita (the author) originally thought might have been going too far but Nasu (Fate’s original author) said “No that’s cool, I’m gonna have Ciel (member of the Agency) throwing out a couple cataclysms in Tsukihime Remake soon anyway!” Much to Narita’s dismay lol.

LeonKevlar2026-01-17 17:32

I really love how this entire series is just Narta and Nasu throwing things at the wall and seeing which one sticks, and so far it's been fucking awesome. xD

getterburner2026-01-17 17:40

It’s more like Narita does that and then Nasu’s his hype man who encourages him to keep going. A good Nasu quote is from the Case Files author where he said when he introduced ideas Nasu told him “Are you sure?” A lot but very rarely ever said “No”. Narita mentioned he thought Hansa being a Cyborg was maybe breaking lore too much but Nasu just approved it without much thought.

A funny Nasu addition to lore though is that Enkidu’s stats are all ?s, because they can allocate their stats depending on the situation, and Narita asked what they were like without Enkidu specifically speccing into a stat.

Nasu: “All As.”
Narita: “What?! That’s ridiculously high they’re gonna call them a Mary Sue!”
Nasu: “Don’t let it get to you.”
Narita: “B-but that’s even higher than-“
Nasu: “**Don’t let it get to you.**”
Narita: “Alright…”

Emeraldpanda1682026-01-17 18:14

Nasu is just happy so many people like his stories that he’ll let anyone adapting his work do anything they want and then he’ll change the lore later.

Plus Narita, Urobochi, are all best friends irl, so bros being bros, I guess.

getterburner2026-01-17 18:21

Type-Moon is in a lot of ways more like a DnD group than a professional business, they play very fast and loose and everybody’s got their own little OCs and stuff.

… probably why the lore’s a bit messy though lol.

Constellar-A2026-01-17 18:24

Sanda (Case Files author) talked once in one of his book’s afterwords about how Nasu will invite all the writers over for dinner and talk about lore. One of those times was when Nasu told them he was splitting Tsukihime and Fate into separate universes; he just said it as a “oh yeah by the way” while in the middle of eating pizza and everyone freaked out.

DragoSphere2026-01-17 18:44

> Narita mentioned he thought Hansa being a Cyborg was maybe breaking lore too much

Meanwhile, *glances at Grand Order*

deleted-user2026-01-17 17:52

The Nasuverse has a lot of nonsensical rules, but at the end of the day the only one that matters is the Rule of Cool.

Warrior-pigeon-2026-01-17 18:23

Honestly in this day and age it’s refreshing to have series that’s willing to bend the rules in service of a better story. It’ll give you enough diegetic material to make some sense while still willing to shake things up.

It’s an issue in a lot of modern fantasy books where magic gets treated like science-lite and nitpicked instead of being magic.

deleted-user2026-01-17 18:27

[Nasu when he ignores all his pre-established lore for a fancy sword beam.](https://youtu.be/oSPKAB70xtg?t=26)

the_3rdist2026-01-17 17:56

Remember this was all meant to be an April's fools joke.

JustARedditAccoumt2026-01-17 17:53

Something similar happend when Narita was writing Enkidu's paramters. He thought that giving Enkidu A-Rank or higher in almost every stat was going overboard, but Nasu said to do it.

Edit: Well, you beat me to the punch on mentioning that tidbit!

getterburner2026-01-17 17:59

Noooooo I didn’t mean to steal your thunder lol.

AliceinTeyvatland2026-01-17 17:08

Part A feels very Mappa, the CQC reminds me of the Blu ray Mahoraga vs Sukuna fist fight lol

WhoiusBarrel2026-01-17 17:09

God the multitude of ways they animate how Black Keys work in fights are so good along with the way Jester went "HUH" after getting blasted in the face was a fucking funny way to end the fight.

Also Gil just in the back of the car going "I don't know" is hilarious.

Wishbone-Lost2026-01-17 18:26

Getting noob tube wasn't in my bingo list.

Emeraldpanda1682026-01-17 18:42

At first I though Gil not knowing about Jester was weird because he’s supposed to have A rank Clairvoyance and can straight up see the future (though he rarely uses it), but since Jester is a Dead Apostle and denies human history, it makes sense Gil’s future sight wouldn’t work on him.

Just be glad Jester isn’t a True Ancestor Dead Apostle; not even Gil would stand the slightest chance.

HungryGull2026-01-17 19:03

Might be a case of him predating Dead Apostles in life and going with the notion of if it's not something that he's personally familiar with then it's not worth caring about

onthoserainydays2026-01-17 19:40

Gil's probably got some anti vampire bullshit lying in his vault

sagevallant2026-01-18 01:25

Sure he does. Ea is anti-everything.

ExpiringMilknCheese2026-01-17 17:09

animation this episode was insane, A-1 pulling no stops.

Carolinapanic2026-01-17 17:09

‘Burial Agency’ Ciel from the Tsukihime Remake was mentioned as a cameo. Honestly, Narita must have asked Nasu a lot before including this scene. Another Tsukihime reference makes me so happy.

>Narita: My most memorable conversation with Nasu was when he was revising Fake 02. I was concerned that I overdid it with the line "Each and every member of the Burial Agency is a walking cataclysm", but when Nasu checked it, he told me: "Don't worry about it! I'm about to release the remake and Ciel will be dropping some casual cataclysms there, so Hansa's line checks out". It took a few years before I could see it for myself, but when I actually got to play the released version of TsukiR, Ciel's power level was so shocking that this interaction got stuck forever on my mind.

wjodendor2026-01-17 18:20

After Arcuied's route being so similar to the origal in Tsukihime:Re, Ciel's going so fucking crazy was a big mindfuck. The fact that only two routes are the same length as the full original visual novel is nuts.

Other Side of Red Garden when?

bakato2026-01-17 17:14

A priest overseer who's a chill dude and not a villain? This Holy Grail War really is fake. The church apparently recruits from YorHa.

I'm really liking how they're leaning into manga-like visuals for comedy.

charlesvvv2026-01-17 17:55

Kirei is more of the exception rather than the norm. The church in Fate is quite the neutral force, other stories like this one set in the Nasuverse kinda show it better.

levi_Kazama2092026-01-17 18:05

I feel lile people forget the church in fate fate is the only force in the nashverse who goes out of their way to protec the human order.

Ur--father2026-01-17 18:24

While the clock tower isn’t a paragon of virtue, it still functions as a governing body that keep most mages in line and forces the craziest ones underground.

veldril2026-01-17 20:03

>I feel lile people forget the church in fate fate is the only force in the nashverse who goes out of their way to protec the human order.

This is an Atlas Academy's erasure and I won't stand for it! Its trying to protect the Human Order ended up creating seven doomsday weapons is just an accident!

robotbadguy2026-01-17 17:19

Did this show get a remake or something. I remember seeing a show like this years ago

getterburner2026-01-17 17:21

The OVA that started this came out a couple years ago and then it became a gag that they released like 1 episode a year due to production issues, and it finally started releasing weekly for real this time a couple weeks ago

Frozenkex2026-01-17 17:48

Yes you just saw a fight between Shizuo and Izaya, its Durarara remake.

flashmozzg2026-01-17 17:50

There was an OVA/episode 0 ~3 years ago, when they previewed ep 1 about a year or so ago and now it's finally coming out weekly.

ConfidenceSouth29932026-01-17 17:25

Man, this episode really goes to show how fucking powerful and crazy Ciel is as an executioner in Tsukihime. The girl was going toe-to-toe against a dead apostle ancestor and a god damn true ancestor.

MLBnewestFan2026-01-17 17:33

And she is only seat no.7, kinda shows how strong the other members are.

getterburner2026-01-17 17:49

To be fair there’s no indication that Number actually indicates strength in there, Ciel is mentioned to be “an exception” to their ranks a couple times in Remake.

AdWide46902026-01-17 17:57

I mean tbf there was never any indication that their seat number corresponds to their strength

Naha-2026-01-17 18:04

Remake Ciel is ridiculously strong, she at least have to be Top 3 in terms of power.

RetryPerson2026-01-17 17:27

Poor waver, still having PTSD from the previous grail war.

WhoiusBarrel2026-01-17 17:29

Them adding that one frame at the bridge while Waver remembers about Gil, thats just pure fanservice.

AliceinTeyvatland2026-01-17 18:22

Also that one line about mages destroying buildings to get rid of the target is a reference to Fate Zero too, so yeah Zero fans are eating this week.

redlaWw2026-01-17 22:57

There was also a reference to Apocrypha with Sisigou being the one who sent the hydra dagger.

towardselysium2026-01-18 02:49

Sisigou is the ultimate bro. He just kinda exists everywhere to help everyone out

Shinigami_222026-01-17 17:56

I wonder what emiya is doing right now, and Rin as well.

getterburner2026-01-17 18:04

Strange Fake’s timeline is after a variant of HF so he’s presumably just chilling with Sakura back at home.

As for Rin, well, she gets around!

Axtel_A2026-01-17 18:57

To clarify for those unawares, the author of Strange Fake revealed that the closest world to Strange Fake's is Himuro no Tenchi aka Fate/school life's world, and in that world, a "Sakura Route v1.5" happened, according to HimuTen's author.

JustARedditAccoumt2026-01-17 17:45

> I didn't see that coming.

It was actually hinted at back in Whispers of Dawn when we see his arm bend and move in unnatural ways!

Edit: Episode 1 actually, sorry about that.

AceSoldia2026-01-17 17:31

How can ther even seven more servants coming?! This shit is gonna be chaos.

JustARedditAccoumt2026-01-17 17:47

>How can ther even seven more servants coming?!

Basically, they summoned six Servants as part of a "fake" Holy Grail War to serve as a catalyst to summon seven Servants for the "true" Holy Grail War.

>And that maid was freaking hot lol wtf man..

She's actually a nun.

>I need to join this church

Go ahead, as long as you don't mind extreme pain and suffering, and probably dying very, very, very soon.

Ellefied2026-01-17 17:52

> How can ther even seven more servants coming?! This shit is gonna be chaos.

Welcome to non-Fuyuki Grail Wars. People literally cannot stop screwing with the formula for the ritual that the original 3 families made.

See also Apocrypha for another similar clusterfuck. And then Chaldea in Fate Grand Order made it a wholeass system to cause even more chaos.

JustARedditAccoumt2026-01-17 17:50

The mental image of those random civilians getting hypnotized into believing that those police cars being flung into the air like baseballs and the fire tornados were just gas leaks is very funny.

the_3rdist2026-01-17 17:54

Damn terrorists blowing up cars, setting off gas leaks and blowing giant craters in the desert. Is there anything they won't do?

AceSoldia2026-01-17 17:34

We have chainsaw movie Reze at home!

Thorwyyn2026-01-17 17:39

I like how choreography before Jester flew out the wall was almost frame for frame with the PV from almost a decade ago

Daedric2022026-01-17 18:19

Seeing that was so hype, that PV was what got me to start reading the LN and seeing what was basically the exact same sequence just in a different artstyle got me feeling almost nostalgic.

Ellefied2026-01-17 17:39

I think if Gil continues to be like this, he might trump Babylonia Gil as my favorite iteration.

He has the haughtiness and pride that he has as Stay Night Archer while keeping the more chill demeanor we see in things like Carnival Phantasm and the wisdom from Fate Babylonia Caster.

Ocixo2026-01-17 18:24

This might be the funniest Gilgamesh that I’ve seen to date. This specific balance between his prideful but relaxed attitude works really well for me. It also helps, I guess, that he got someone young like Tiné to tease.

Ellefied2026-01-17 18:29

It's like Christmas for Gil. He gets to have a young child as his master (always was preferential to children) who he can teach and show off to, his bestfriend in the whole world also gets summoned, and he already got to fire off an Enuma Elish.

Ocixo2026-01-17 18:35

Now you’ve said so, this particular scenario is indeed pretty awesome for Gil. He even got to gamble in the casino!

I did forget that he got a soft spot for kids. It will certainly be interesting to see him act like a mentor to Tiné.

n080dy1232026-01-17 20:14

It's funny how completely chill he is with kids. I've been replaying Samurai Remnant since I never finished that, and like the first thing he does in that is demean the protagonist for probably being too poor to buy anything from his shop, then hand a couple kids (for free) lollipops perfectly sculpted of his shirtless torso and say something to the extent of "You think I'd stoop so low to extort children for money?"

LaplaceZ2026-01-17 19:46

>It also helps, I guess, that he got someone young like Tiné to tease.

I think it's not only that, but the fact that she's just playing a role assigned to her and she doesn't know what she wants.

Gil loves watching people and how they discover themselves, whether that takes them to glory or ruin, this is his fun. He did that with Saber and Kirei.

But yeah, he's less of a dick with Tine compared to those two because she's a kid.

crazynoyes372026-01-17 17:39

Man this anime is so good it's literally the best parts of nasuvsrse combined it's just such a joy to read, and seeing the panic in everyone with the realization in this episode is a TREAT. Things are about get a lot more chaotic and insane lol, god I can't wait for the next episode

Prince-Dizzytoon2026-01-17 17:39

Gilgamesh is goated in every incarnation, what a character

Aileos2026-01-17 17:40

Even 2B is involved in this Holy Grail War.

Ocixo2026-01-17 18:27

I couldn’t unsee 2B in this girl’s outfit either no.

Best part is that the anime for Fate/SF and Nier:Automata are both produced by A-1 Pictures.

Muffin-zetta2026-01-17 19:47

She even sounds like 2b

BosuW2026-01-17 20:35

So you're telling me it's all set for NieR Automata to get it's billionth crossover...

Vinpupx2026-01-17 17:42

God, I love seeing this animated.

jicuhrabbitkim2026-01-17 17:45

I just love the art style of the series so much, by far the best looking fate anime we’ve had imho.

so that’s why there seems to be some missing people in the ED, there are more servants and masters coming. i should have realized this watching the OP. this is like a more chaotic fate apocrypha.

NinokuNANI2026-01-17 17:45

A-1 snapped animating the fight between the priest and the dead apostle. I couldn't take my eyes away from the screen the whole time.

the_3rdist2026-01-17 17:48

Going up a building using chainsaw arms? Is this Fate or Chainsawman?

Quinzea2026-01-17 17:53

BURIAL AGENCY MENTIONED!!!

If they showed a shot of Ciel I would've lost my shit, every single episode so far has been top tier, can't believe we have to wait another week for more 😭😭

Shinigami_222026-01-17 17:55

I recognize that Hydra Dagger anywhere lol, hopefully we see more items from craft essence in FGO.

so currently, the servants that were summoned are:

Archer - Gilgamesh

Lancer - Enkidu

Assassin - the woman

Caster - the red checkered teeth guy

Rider - ???

Berserker - Jack the ripper

then the official servants that are being summoned right now is:

Saber: Blonde guy

Archer - the shrouded guy

Ashteron2026-01-17 18:07

By the way of elimination Rider is the black mist thing and its master is Tsubaki (little girl).

There's also whatever Faldeus summoned in the final scene.

Roketsu862026-01-17 18:17

As Waver said, the Fake War doesn't have a Saber

Sad_4_You2026-01-17 20:53

so Saber is the first summon of the real war? So total of 13 servants instead of 14?

Nome_de_utilizador2026-01-17 21:55

The fake war as faldeus said in ep 0 just has 6 servants. This episode waver confirmed saber was the "first" summoned by the leylines of this land. So yes, 6 "fake" war servants and supposedely 7 "real" war servants.

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about Hansa, but after watching him [humiliate Jester with some cheap coffee](https://i.imgur.com/nUMMupH.jpeg) and kick his ass in a [very much one-sided fight](https://i.imgur.com/LQ20rxE.jpeg), I already love him as a character. It also helps that [he's pretty much a cyborg](https://i.imgur.com/D2gdfPu.jpeg) with [chainsaw legs!](https://i.imgur.com/ODquTkG.jpeg) I love it so much! xD

[Jester pulling out a Uzi was pretty funny tho.](https://i.imgur.com/jDY8g2z.jpeg) I did not expect a Dead Apostle to use guns! That entire fight was just so much fun. Jester thinking he got the last laugh only for [Hansa to blast his face with a grenade round to the face](https://i.imgur.com/KebJLnc.jpeg) so goddamn hilarious!

Too bad Jester managed to pull a fast one on Hansa, tho. I mean, how did he not realize [that the kid with white hair and red eyes he's headpatting](https://i.imgur.com/lpQpUjn.jpeg) is the same dude he was giving the beatdown earlier. I guess vampires are not known to shapeshift?

[That scene between Flat and Jack was pretty fun, too.](https://i.imgur.com/C7A0aJc.jpeg) Flat really just wants to befriend servants, while Jack is clearly still trying to figure out what kind of person his Master is.

Flat just casually giving [Waver 4th Holy Grail War PTSD](https://i.imgur.com/kJkUdmv.jpeg) by sending him [a photo of Gil.](https://i.imgur.com/nXq4CP0.jpeg) I do like that we actually get to see [a quick flash of Iskandar's final moments against Gil.](https://i.imgur.com/cD7KCNC.jpeg)

Gilgamesh is really having fun with Tine. [I knew immediately he was just testing Tine](https://i.imgur.com/BPxji6I.jpeg) to see if he liked her answer or not. Thankfully, [he seems to like her answer](https://i.imgur.com/aigQPP1.jpeg) even if he was just teasing her. Also, it's hilarious that he tries to make up to [Tine by letting her gaze on all his glory.](https://i.imgur.com/Pom4X7p.jpeg) xD

[So it looks like we have another Archer](https://i.imgur.com/c70V9x4.jpeg) and he's immediately declaring war against Gilgamesh? Ballsy opening move. I think I may have an idea on who this servant is, but I'm not sure yet. Hmmmm....

[And Faldeus finally summoned his Servant.](https://i.imgur.com/DlqY4Fg.jpeg) I'm curious who he summoned, tho and why it's writing to him instead of asking him the question face-to-face.

Ashteron2026-01-17 18:09

>tho and why it's writing to him instead of asking him the question face-to-face.

I can't believe Faldeus summoned Violet Evergarden.

Ocixo2026-01-17 18:20

> Thankfully, he seems to like [Tiné’s] answer even if he was just teasing her.

Gil might’ve been joking, but everyone knows that he’s capable of raising this entire city to the ground.

Also, can I say that Tiné is adorable! I love how she took Gil’s joke seriously and actually imagined jumping from the building with a parachute.

> [So it looks like we have an Archer](https://imgur.com/c70V9x4)

Archer shooting an actual bow and arrow? Impossible! I would’ve assumed them to wield guns instead, given that they’ve been summoned in the USA.

Constellar-A2026-01-17 17:59

[removed]

deleted-user2026-01-17 18:22

Also, the mysterious bow-wielding guy is a reference to one of [Rin's famous lines.](https://imgur.com/OCM2Bti)

Nachtwandler_FS2026-01-17 18:43

As the joke says: "Archers sometimes shoot something".

AccusingGojo2026-01-17 18:01

The fights and the OST are so damn good!

8_Pixels2026-01-17 18:01

It's so good to have Fate back and at it's best. This season is just insane man

ZhuTeLun2026-01-17 18:01

Holy shit wait. Theres more servants coming?!

Cant-think-a-name2026-01-17 19:39

This is where Strange Fake really begins.

Pink_her_Ult2026-01-17 22:38

6 from the fake war, 7 for the real war. We get 13 servants in total.

Naha-2026-01-17 18:02

Burial Agency mention, I wonder how many years we need to wait before we can see Ciel in Tsukihime Remake adaptation.

Waver PTSD from F/Z, Shishigou mention from Apocyrpha. I see every single episode is going to have a nod to the other TM works lol I love it.

AdWide46902026-01-17 18:07

Burial Agency (埋葬機関) became a bit trending in JP Twitter around an hour ago lol

Stabaobs2026-01-17 18:34

I hope this gets Nasu to write a plot for a Holy Church themed story. Ever since Studio BB was created, I was expecting a Holy Church themed Soulslike to be announced...

Ezimur2026-01-17 18:09

So Gilgamesh is a "fake" servant this time around?. He is not going to take that well

Emeraldpanda1682026-01-17 19:05

To be fair, Gilgamesh was never a typical servant.

akimdeva2026-01-17 23:27

He already addressed being a fake servant in episode 0 before he bro fisted Enkidu

CritMemes2026-01-17 18:17

We will look upon John Wingard’s career with great interest. That man’s got some protagonist potential.

Cross_Toss2026-01-17 19:20

We got THE John Fate

Ur--father2026-01-17 18:33

There’s no way the snowfield police department is gonna pass next year audit. Between the budget for repairing the lobby, personnel medical bills and unexplained receipts for dubious magic items, they’re definitely way over budget.

HungryGull2026-01-17 19:22

Buddy this ain't no pansy Japanese Holy Grail War. This is America! Home of God and guns! The freedom-loving patriots in office can definitely afford to send a couple more billions so our boys in blue can have as many magic gizmos and samurai swords as they want.

BosuW2026-01-17 23:26

Idk considering it seems the government is in on this shit...

TEN MORE BILLION TO SNOWFIELD PD

TheMoorNextDoor2026-01-17 19:42

I’m going with the Hot Take…..

This shit could end up being the anime of the season at this rate and that’s with JJK and Frieren already settled at the top spot as 1A and 1B.

This show has me hype I almost want to read light novel/manga because waiting week to week is getting painful.
