I can't decide whether this is a title with a cute girl (Aki) and then lots of blood, or one with lots of blood with a cute girl included.
Classic trope of killing all the henchmen but letting the main villain live.
Edit: I'm out of it I took spout in the literal, yellow bile, sense of it.
Also this villain took whatever drug which caused his independent arm.
And I suppose the former master is distributing the drug or something.
Hopefully the series is not *this* tropey but it feels like we're going this way.
Indeed, I think there's more to things that Aki having a unnuanced no-kill policy - as it turns out she can hear everyone's thoughts, so she knows what it means to them kill and knows what sort of person they are like on the inside.
If anything, I feel like she might have had a shift towards Yashiro after hearing his thoughts on how the E3 impacted him. However I only got that because I rewatched the episode to see what she might have heard from internal thoughts after her power was revealed.
Jogamine’s powers sure left our boy speechless lol. She really showed up at the perfect time. Guy looked to be a goner there. I wonder what’s up with that Demon Lord and his arm. Something ain’t right there.
Well he was going on about what sounded like a big bad in the shadows kind of thing.
I assume based on Yashiro's master design he is probably Jogamine's father.
Despite how he acts, [Yashiro is still plenty heroic for protecting those girls](https://i.imgur.com/uNfGXhC.jpeg) from being pulverized by Amber Thorn. I'm honestly surprised at how [easy Jogamine took Amber Thorn down tho.](https://i.imgur.com/9kvPTZr.jpeg) Looks like she's way stronger than Yashiro gives her credit for. Also, [she can apparently read people's thoughts!](https://i.imgur.com/oQCnIxQ.jpeg) No wonder she was able to call out Yashiro's lies back in Episode 1 so quickly.
I wonder how his thoughts come through to her, wouldnt they either be really slow..or really fast?
I do wonder how it works with Yashiro, if she can she keep up with the speed of his thoughts since time is slowed down as he uses his ability. Though I'm sure he'll be embarrassed since she would have at least heard his thoughts when he stopped using his ability, thinking he was going to finally die.
I did like finding out that overusing one's ability can take them to the darker side, people like Yashiro have an inner battle with themselves to make sure they don't become Demon Lords.
On top of that she can hear *his* thoughts too, and up until his monologue about how E3 impacts him, seems to have thought that his killing was excessive in comparison to whatever he was thinking at the time.
Though the characters are fun enough to make up for it.
It feels like there are good people working on it, but they simply had a bit too little time or budget to work with.
Also, the first disappointing sign I saw was the mark on Yashiro's neck and face was apparently drawn on a different layer that his face, so when he tilts his head back slightly, it looks like it moves across his neck rather than deforming to match the neck movement.
In any case, I still am enjoying the show. Hopefully the quality gets better, but it's not going to disappoint me for a third time because I've already lowered my standards.
The main attraction for now is our jaded lead and his interactions with Aki and others of the trio of would be braves. He is a pretty canny combatant though. Scratch one dark lord, though kudos for Aki hilariously finishing him.
I'm enjoying watching this... it's pretty damn fun.
Maybe for ER doctors. "Haha, the way the blood spurted out is so unrealistic haha! The carotid would never spray in that direction haha!"
If I suddenly learned there was a mind reader in the room even if I wasn't thinking the most stupid inappropriate thoughts possible whenever they were around before I would be now no matter how hard I tried not to
I also wonder if the drug the teleporter girl takes as the same side effects, because she is even more bloodthirsty than Yashiro, who at least tries to avoid unnecessary fights.
I really did not expect Jogamine to be a mind reader. What an interesting power for a fighter to have. She actually seems good at using it too, since she beat the Dark Lord in the end. I love her enthusiam, but I get why Yashiro would find it painful.
I wonder what is the power of the last girl in that trio ? And what was up with the Dark Lord’s mutant arm ? Another side effect of whatever weird stuff he takes to gain his powers ?
This would make how they use their powers more interesting. There is a cost to it. Common theme with both of the author's series.
* For Yukine she can teleport.
* For Yashiro his perception of time slows down when it activates.
* For Aki she can read minds.
I think for Aki to just be reading minds makes all the monologues hilarious in hindsight. Though it is funny, her comment is when Yashiro considers herself an imbecile because it is obvious she looks down on her.
I wonder if there is more to Aki though.
Hopefully they don't do the slow motion combat with internal monologue explaining it too many more times.
Aki is fun at least.
Other than that Aki has powers like professor X; yeah that explains much.
Jougamine made me realize that I really enjoy the airhead/dumbass honor student archetype. Now I need more of it.
Also he figured out whole Demon Lord's power and she just had to hear it lol

I’m actually not that much looking forward to this, I’m just bored, so yeah, maybe I’ll keep watching this.
