Whats a comedy anime EVERYBODY finds funny (but you dont)
Comedy is subjective, **I know.** But out of curiosity, since comedy varies, I wanna know what hit with you guys and what missed. For me, Saiki K was a hit and I found it hilarious, while something like Nichijou was a miss, but im still watching it because I like the characters and its just kinda relaxing. Please, **drop yours below!!!**

good lord the anime and manga of that is horrible
As an opposite example, Kaguya-sama, Witch Watch, and Ranma all have some great comedic moments in my opinion.
Pop Team Epic - yeah, sadly I just bounced off this one.
Kagura just being adorable carries it most of the time. The overall story and wanting to know what was gonna happen to the characters is what made me power through it.
I genuinely think this is the only bit that actually got a laugh out of me that i remember off the top of my head:

Maybe this and Sougo getting "stabbed" that one time.
Physical comedy + Kagura. She's the best character in the show by far afaic, not just for the rare funny bits but she elevates all the other characters, Gintoki especially, on the more serious arcs/moments. Her and Otose of course.
The interactions/conversations between Peco and Smile in the 11 episodes of Ping Pong got more chuckles out of me than anything in the almost 400 episodes of Gintama. And Ping Pong is not even a comedy.
I was worried City was gonna be one of these despite everything going for it but thankfully I found it much funnier after its first couple of episodes.
Like just to emphasize my point so someone doesn't think I'm just out here sayin random shit for fun, I will now list all comedies I rank over them:
- Bocchi the Rock
- Konosuba
- Cautious Hero
- Saiki K
- 100GF
- Hinamatsuri
- Ninkoro
- D-Frag
- Kill la Kill
- Isekai Ojisan
- Kaguya-sama
- Gintama
- Binbougami
- Monogatari
- The Vampire Dies in No Time
- Joshimuda
- Yuusha ga Shinda
- Meikyuu Black Company
- Eminence in Shadow
- Spy x Family
- Aho-Girl
- Isekai Shikaku
- Tomo-chan
- Golden Boy
- Monster Musume
- Instant Death
- Kamikatsu
- Infinite Stratos
and then like *right* around as we get to the bottom here and these ecchi comedy shitpost animes is right around the territory we start to get into where I'd put Grand Blue and Nichijou. Like they're not the bottom of the barrel. There are plenty of shows I'd rank below them. They could even potentially slot in a couple places higher on that list, especially if you just want to grade them by overall production quality and sakuga and the like. But even then they would literally be fighting for a position within the top 25, because I just listed TWENTY-EIGHT FUCKING ANIMES I thought were funnier than them. Like I still haven't watched Grand Blue S2 even though it was this huge wait because I just didn't care at all. Like they dropped the announcement and I was like, "hey nice, good for them." I probably won't get around to watching it for like 3 more years. So whenever I see someone give it as their absolute top rec bro-you've-gotta-watch-this-shit-above-all-others it completely baffles me.
Just a bad series in general.
What? Watch it in sub that's more than enough to get the full experience.
>why wouldnt i just watch bunny girl senpai (which apparently people say is a numbed down version)?
Because simply Monogatari has better characters, story, character arcs, art style, soundtrack and ending.
You can simply watch it without paying much heed to such comments.
In general: Any comedy that's based on "Loud = funny".
