Chainsaw Man Movie that came out also peak. Avatar Last Airbender and the Boondocks technically near anime but really good too
SmolPlaytoy2026-01-18 05:58
Fruits Basket the newer one, Violet Evergarden or My Hero Academia if you want series that are completed

Spy x Family is a great wholesome starter - it has a generally well-recieved dub and very little fanservice (meaning no overly sexual scenes/character designs)
The Disastrous Life of Saiki K is imo the greatest anime comedy and one of the most funny pieces of media Ive ever seen. It has a phenomenal dub and no fanservice.
For a more serious show I'd reccomend Attack on Titan or Vinland Saga (though it might set your expectations CRAZY high for the future if you watch Attack on Titan as your first anime)

I just finished season 2 of spy x family actually!! I dont have crunchy roll, so im hoping for a dubbed addition to Disney + because thats what I watched it on!
Pinapple_Koal2026-01-18 06:12
Oh perfect! You could try pirating online if it's not on Disney+, though make sure not to accidentally click any of the pop-ups on those sites.
ThePotatoChipBandit2026-01-18 06:13
No, I think ill either wait for Febuary when it gets dubbed on Disney, or hey a CR subscription.
exiledexiled2026-01-18 06:19
If you have Disney+ you should watch summertime rendering. It was popular at launch but Disney locked it away

“Tearmoon Empire”
its about the selfish Princess Mia, who, after being executed by guillotine in a failed rebellion, gets a second chance to rewrite her tragic future by time-traveling back to her childhood, using her future knowledge (and a handy diary) to prevent the empire's downfall and her own grisly end, often leading to comical misunderstandings as she accidentally becomes a beloved figure
“Miss Kuroitsu from the Monster Development Department”
Premise: Touka Kuroitsu is a research assistant in the Monster Development Department of the evil organization Agastia. This is a comedy/satire that focuses on the behind-the-scenes struggles of creating monsters to fight heroes. It highlights the "corporate" side of villainy, dealing with unrealistic deadlines, budget constraints, and demanding bosses (similar to office, but with giant monsters).
“Endo and Kobayashi Live! The Latest on Tsundere Villainess Lieselotte”
One day, Crown Prince Sieg hears the Voices of the Gods out of the blue. Apparently, his fiancée Lieselotte is a “tsun de rais” villainess destined to meet her demise...and her sharp tongue is just a way of covering up her embarrassment. The prince can hardly contain himself after discovering Lieselotte's adorable hidden side. Little does he know, the heavenly beings that bestowed this knowledge unto him are actually high schoolers! Can he use their divine prophecy (let’s play commentary) to save his betrothed and avoid a Bad End?!
