Looking for what's probably an old direct to VHS anime

Ok, so as the title suggests I'm looking for an old anime and I'm hoping someone can help me out, i remembering borrowing this VHS from a local library and not understanding what I was watching around 10-15 years ago but its stuck in my mind. i know its not much to go off of but what i remember consists of some goth girl staring out the window during school, then she's on the roof. and then she's in some bar joining a band with a giant who plays drums and some dwarfish dude who claims that "I can play anything with strings!" that's about all i have to go off of, i hope someone can help me cus I've been searching for this for years

Kinda sounds less an anime and more a western animation.

It sounds like it *might* be "Soul Music", based on a novel by sir Terry Prattchet

damn i think that's the one! thank you mate!

np

If you liked the story, there are several animations made of Prattchets Discworld novels.

Also a few live-action shows.

But avoid "The Watch" as its an abomination that shits on the "world" that sir Prattchet created
