Hi FlashOnImpulse, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch!
The users of this subreddit came up with [a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans](https://i.redd.it/0w1v880jtq661.png) and [an awesome longer flowchart](https://i.redd.it/vdzlkodz19c71.png). Maybe you can find something there that you'll like \^.\^

The [Apothocary Diaries](https://www.crunchyroll.com/series/G3KHEVDJ7/the-apothecary-diaries?srsltid=AfmBOopzJ0b-yuWwsWWMTUGsTvTKolwMu_8q29YnhWslR6zzwtOyQ8EB) takes place in a fictional “early medieval China”. I really enjoyed and recommend it, but it is realistic fiction and not fantasy (if that’s what you’re into - though that’s is also what I am more into and I still really enjoyed it!)

Thank but that’s more ancient than what I’m looking for. I’d like something around early 1900s to 60s where it was common for all men to wear suits and hats. I guess like when mafia still existed those periods though not particularly that genre

Baccano immediately comes to mind

And what timeframe is that? In Violet Evergarden they have super advanced tech that is still not possible today (violet arms)

Ww1-2 (doesn’t have to be war related) or early 1900s to 60s basically when men still wore hats and suits.
It can have future tech (if that’s all there is) but the time has to be around that generation. There’s actually a good example of this but I don’t recall the show. Only thing I can think of as an example right now is back to the future but that’s not anime
