Twin-Star Exorcist, manga vs anime recommendation?

I've just watched the anime version of Sousei no Omnyouji and everything about it was a treat for my soul, it's crazy how I fell in love a single anime like this. When I look up for some discussion online I saw some ppl recommend reading the manga because it's better than the anime because the studio made some adjustment for it for easier animation. For all people who have read it, how different is the manga version vs the anime version, is it significant so that I can read the whole series again? Thanks in advance

As far as I remember, the changes are from the first chapters, besides the plot there are a lot of fillers, also after the return of FMC's brother (this is the first arc of the manga if I'm not mistaken) the plot has nothing to do with the manga except the characters. Also, MC in the manga is not the king of filth, but FMC is the princess of filth or something. I watched it a long time ago, so I could be confused in the details

I mean, these are two completely different stories.

They are night and day.
The Anime went for the original route.
The Manga is different and a lot more cohesive given the fact that it was written by the original author. It's also way longer.

I can't comment on the manga, but I loved this anime when I watched it back in 2016 or so. Around that time, I was pretty depressed. I don't remember much about the anime, but I do remember crying very hard at one point. It definitely was a treat for my soul. Thanks for mentioning it.
