Anime with good teamwork
After watching The Mighty Nein, Vox Machina and Delicious In Dungeon, I have a hunger for more shows with really strong team dynamics. I love how battles involve everyone at once, and how there's a lot of attention paid to strengths and weaknesses. So many anime seem to devolve into 1-1 fights where the hero has to just believe in himself more, push past his limits, and so on.
Frieren plays to this pretty well, despite the small "team". Are there any others that people can recommend?

Undead Unluck (main duo, plus other instances of team work to take down superior foes)
Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken 2020 (this is a shounen based on the DQ3 game world so parties are important but there are individual fights)
Hunter x Hunter 2011 (varies per arc, but the later ones tend to have more teamwork moments)
Ushio to Tora (this one focuses on a duo)
That's like the main appeal of that show.
I was afraid that no one would mention World Trigger.
That said, WT's reboot of season 1 hasn't released yet...
Damnit! If only OP could enjoy the fucking awesome reboot in addition to the cunning writing! Life isn't fair!
The first couple of episodes can be rough to watch. Skip them if you find gritty rape/necrophilia/etc triggering. They are short brutal sequences, but they represent the powerful motivations behind the MC and his first party member.
Once you get past those opening scenes, the rest of the show is brilliant. Undertones of Frieren and Faraway Paladin at various points.
Speaking of which, Faraway Paladin might be a good one, too...
I'll give Faraway Paladin a shot, never heard of it before! Goblin Slayer has a very strong focus on, well, Goblin Slayer but you're right that he needs his team which made for some strong moments. I'd almost forgotten about it. I liked how he was kinda stunted until he lets in more people.
Building a team that wokd well together is a central theme of **Grimgar** as well
Good pick with Grimgar. I just finished it and it really took me by surprise. It did have a strong focus on a single protagonist but figuring out what "team" means and how to integrate very different people into it was basically the whole show. Really enjoyed it!
Like you said most action shonen tend to involve teams but then break out into 1v1s once the battle actually starts. Full party fights are harder to draw in the manga and more expensive to animate so they don't get shown as much.
Jack or All Trades is about a support character who’s is OP not because he is super powerful but because he is really competent in all kinds of areas and so can lead his team to their highest possible effieciency.
The MC is a strategist/support who commands his teammates while keeping track of all conditions on the battlefield.
