Why dont you start out with animes that only have 12 eps
BeatNo47752026-01-19 06:43

No point worrying about racing to catch up, you'll just be stuck waiting years for the next season with a lot of shows.
BeatNo47752026-01-19 06:42
oh okay

Putting it mildly. My 12 year wait for the next Madoka movie might finally end this year.

i watched the entirety of re:zero in like 3 days. so saying impossible is an exaggeration
BeatNo47752026-01-19 06:42
I cant bed rot for that long😭
_SkullKnight2026-01-19 06:44
you don’t have to, just do like 3-4 episodes a day before bed and you’ll be caught up. there are anime’s that are much much longer

Try to watch short shows or mangas and if you don't like it's OK it's not like it's important to get into popular things don't push yourself just to fit into society everyone got their own taste!

Just breaking it down by time, you get three (if we're counting content and skipping intros and outros) episodes per hour. At 25 episodes per season for the first two your looking at about 17 hours, and 6 hours for s3. It's only a single day worth of watch time, not that I'm advising you sit down and consume it all in one session lol. If you were to watch less than 2 hours a day you'd be done with all of it within two weeks. Bump that up to 4 hours a day and you've got it done in just over a week. Also, remember you can take breaks. Find a couple different things you want to watch and bounce between them.
Alternatively, just find shorter series. There's many a one and done 12 episode series out there.

Yeah, sounds like you're just watching stuff that's longer then what you actually want to commit to, which is fine, but there are lots of fantastic shows that are much shorter, so definitely look around for those.
Googling "best X anime" or anything of the sort will usually lead you to simply what's super popular, and while that's definitely not inherently a bad thing, it's not uncommon for popular things to uh... keep going lol. Because popular.
If you want some recs, I can definitely provide some, and if you have a particular genre you're a fan of, that helps narrow it down even more.
I'm going to bed for the night that being said, so I'll leave you with "A Place Further Than the Universe" which is an absolutely fantastic 12~ episode show that basically nobody has problems with unless you inherently hate its genre, I guess lol.
But yeah list the genres you like and I'll find some stuff for you in a while, if you're interested.

There are tens of thousands of anime that exist. All of us are behind and will always be behind. It’s not that serious at all. Watch shorter shows or movies first and work your way up to longer stuff if you want.
Oh and watch what interests you. Don’t watch things just to fit in.
