Why is tokyo ghoul season 3 so confusing? Should i read manga instead?

I watched tokyo ghoul 2 seasons, that were good but season 3 sucks , lot of confusion rushed story and i am not able to understand anything i am in 15th episode of season 3 still not happy, should i read manga instead??

Please suggest me guys .

Yeah, I think in general you should probably read the manga. Also, season 1 and 2 of Tokyo ghoul is really good as it was very accurate and it kept a lot of the important details from the manga.

However, season 3 and 4 often received criticism because it was very rushed and it left out a lot of scenes and a lot of information from the manga. Trust me, you'll have a way better time reading the manga.

Season 2 is not accurate to the manga at all. That's where it does an original story route that mixes manga events with anime original ones while skipping major plot points. Season 3 then doesn't adjust events to fit with season 2's changes, making the continuity a mess and a lot of the plot incomprehensible.

Just read the manga from the start. I think the only unaltered arc in the anime is the very first one. Everything else has stuff being skipped or changed totally.

years ago this show was on a channel called vice and I knew nothing better, so I watched it got a little lost, kinda enjoyed it at times

....do we know why they hacked it so badly? From what I hear it's atrocious, were they trying to skip 'mid' content to get to good stuff, or easy to animate/understand sections

Read the manga from chapter 1. The anime's a mess, all seasons skip important stuff, but season 2 outright changes major events and skips significant reveals, then season 3 doesn't adjust events to follow season 2's changes and skips stuff as well.

It's a mess of an adaptation, with everything after season 1 widely considered among the worst anime adaptations of all time.

Just read the manga. The anime is so shit compared to it (making the series edgy not dark, skipping shit, adding shit, etc.) that it's worth reading from ch1 and forgetting the anime exists

It's in a special tier of the anime doesn't exist with the promised Neverland (specifically s2) and imo berserk (only because the 1997 is the only watchable one, but the manga is so much better) where you just read the manga and forget about the anime

It's been a hot minute since I've read it, but your description of the anime sounds exactly like the manga to me 😆. When it finished, I've never felt so empty in my life, considering it was my favorite series at the time. But less so of a sad and profound emptiness, and more of a "yo, wtf did i just read" emptiness 😂

From what I understand the animation studios decided on a none Canon season 2. And then went back to the manga on the 3rd. Just pretend the 2nd didn't happen. Or just read the manga which is awesome.
