Broadcast starts April 4, 2026 for 2 consecutive cours
Director: Yoshiaki Iwasaki (Kowloon Generic Romance, Hayate the Combat Butler, We Never Learn: BOKUBEN)
Series Composition / Scripts: Mariko Kunisawa (Returning)
Character Designer: Aiko Minowa (After the Rain, The Ancient Magus’ Bride – in-between animation)
Music: MICHIRU (Returning)
Animation production: WIT Studio
By WIT!? I don't think the earlier seasons were, they looked so rough at times... so this is good news. Spring is already looking nearly as goated as winter...
doquan21422026-01-19 20:40
Yep, iirc the previous studio had to fight for extra episodes for Season 3. All hopes were lost for a Season 4 at that point.
Dolomite8082026-01-19 20:12
> 2 consecutive cours
On this day we received blessed news. I'm so fucking hyped.
Vanderseid2026-01-19 10:06
Two cours? Praise be to the Gods. Hopefully we get a better pacing this time round, stuff only get better and denser from here on.
Ebo872026-01-19 10:18
Yes, they are fully adapting all of part 3 in these two cours. And we will also get two more cours after this, in 2028, which will begin to adapt Part 4. I assume only the first half in those 2 cours.
SnooPets90592026-01-19 10:52
How much source material is left
Rich_Cat_692026-01-19 10:58
Part 1 and 2 covered 7 volumes of the light novel.
Part 3 will cover 8-12.
There are 33 volumes total
Ebo872026-01-19 12:21
A lot, this will get us up to the end if volume 12 and there are 33 volumes in the main series, so *only* 21 more volumes to go, lol.
SnooPets90592026-01-19 12:43
This is a detailed adaptation then.i still need to catch up.watched only till ep19
Tacitus_2026-01-19 13:59
Season 3 wasn't very detailed because the production committee had their heads up their asses. S4 is going to have to introduce some of the stuff they skipped because it's directly related to the main plot now.
Reymilie2026-01-19 17:32
>And we will also get two more cours after this, in 2028, which will begin to adapt Part 4.
Where the heck did you hear about this ?
Ebo872026-01-19 17:48
Publisher, TO Books, in a members only (paid) newsletter where they detailed a lot of stuff about this new anime. And it makes sense, this season ends with a cliffhanger of sorts, so there was no way they would have stopped there. This is stuff from like maybe 9 months ago, that's how far back I've known season 4 will be 2 cours, both seasons actually will be two consecutive cours. And then the stuff they talked about during the panel at Anime Expo 2025, back in July, where they showed the anime first, basically all but confirmed what I was suspecting based on this schedule, that they will begin adapting part 4 in the 2028 season.
Anyway, don't need to believe me, this is all very IN IT information, lol, very very early, official confirmation of the next season will of course come at the end of season 4, late September. There is no commitment past that, so keep watching and buying the merch and recommending to friends if you want to see a full adaptation.
Lev5592026-01-19 19:05
What is this paid newletter? I wouldn't mind subbing..but do they do the thing where you need to have a Japanese address?
That's super neat though. Because if they are already planning for Part 4, that means they are going the whole way most likely...I mean, we all expected it, but it's nice to have a confirmation
Ebo872026-01-19 19:33
Yeah, you definitely need Japanese things to be able to subscribe to it, I've only read it through the kindness of other Bookworm fans who shared it and also translated its content from Japanese.
And again, by their own words, the production committee is committed to at least two seasons, this one coming in april and another before the end of 2028. That is all they've said, anything past the 2028 season has no committment from them, YET.
But we are at least guaranteed these two seasons of two cours each, so like 48-50 episodes of Bookworm between April 2026 and sometime in 2028 (if all goes well). So I hope it does well so they can extend this until they are done adapting the books, hopefully with Wit on board until the end (provided they do a good job here, of course).
LurkingMcLurk2026-01-19 10:21
It won’t have better pacing.
They’re most likely going to adapt all of Part 3 here, so 22-26 episodes for fives volumes while for Part 2 they did 22 episodes for four volumes.
**Edit:** Part 2 is 1,570 Japanese pages so at 22 episodes works out to a rate of 71.36. Meanwhile Part 3 is 1,863 Japanese pages so at 24/25/26 episodes would work out to a rate of 78.04/74.92/72.04.
Ebo872026-01-19 10:29
It's not 22 episodes, it's at least 24. Also the Part 2 books are the longest in the series. This should be better paced than prior seasons.
They've also worked much closer with Miya Kazuki on this, and plus the new production committee are really committed to this series now. This is airing in the same TV slot My Hero Academia was airing in and they won't just stop at adapting Part 3. They are also going to at least start Part 4 in 2028.
LurkingMcLurk2026-01-19 10:57
How do we know it’s at least 24 episodes?
Part 2 (393) does have two of the longest volumes in the series but by average page count it’s actually shorter than Part 1 (398) and only marginally longer than Part 5 (391). Part 3 (375) are on average the shortest though.
Saying they worked much closer with the author really just sounds like the usual spiel they always try to spin to get people excited.
Ebo872026-01-19 12:24
Because of the time slot, it's 26 weeks, 1 of which is taken up by an episode of MHA leaving 25 weeks for Bookworm. Assuming a 1 week break between cour 1 and 2, that would leave it with 24 weeks. My assumption is 24 episodes, but it could very well not have a 1 week break between cours, so it's 25 episodes. We will find out closer to release. But I have known for months that it will be at least 24 episodes, this season, only question was how much higher past that. And now I know it's not more than 25.... would have loved 26 episodes but oh well.
LurkingMcLurk2026-01-19 12:37
I see.
Agret2026-01-19 12:52
Wonder if they'll do the new trend of a double length episode 1?
namewithak2026-01-19 10:35
Yeah they're gonna be cutting even more world-building detail out. But the advantage of Part 3 is that it has the most focused overarching plot of any of the story parts (since it's the most simple and adventure-like) so maybe that'll smooth over the pacing.
Ebo872026-01-19 10:40
There's also a lot more action and adventure, like you said, and the books are shorter (part 2 books are the longest). This will be fine, much better than season 3 even if on paper it's seemingly the same number of books per episodes as season 3 had (it's not, season 3 was more like 2 volumes and a quarter, very dense volumes, adapted in 10 episodes with some strange choices regarding what they kept and what they didn't, they absolutely coule have fit more in there with better pacing for the scenes in there).
BeatBlockP2026-01-19 21:02
At some point you also have to be reasonable. If we want a full adaptation, even with this fast pace we're talking about like 9 seasons and 3 movies. If we really take the time to leave everything in it, it would end in 2050 (which means it would actually get cancelled way before)
Inevitable_Skirt67202026-01-19 10:07
What a beautiful poster
I am so excited for this season
moichispa2026-01-19 10:12
All this level of detail on my Bookworm?????? Praise be to the goods
H-K_472026-01-19 11:22
It sounds like they're going all in on the series. Really trying to make it a real big thing now, especially once they get to Part 4. This is excellent. There's so much great stuff ahead. Really hope we get the full adaptation eventually!
fruitspunch_samurai_2026-01-19 12:22
Is part 4 sason 4?
Looking so forward to this, actually a good isekai
Stealth-OP2026-01-19 12:25
No, this is the beginning of Part 3.
NekoCatSidhe2026-01-19 12:26
No, Part 3 is season 4. Part 1 (3 books) was season 1 and Part 2 (4 books) was season 2 and season 3. Part 3 is 5 books, so I expect it will be several seasons.
kkrko2026-01-19 15:55
Season 4 is two cours, they can fit in all 5 volumes of Part 3 in it.
They probably want to do Part 4 as well, which will take 3(+ a movie) to 4 cours, then part 5 is another 5 cours.
It's honestly a lot, and even if they continue to produce it non stop, it'll probably take a decade at least to finish.
H-K_472026-01-19 12:27
S4 will start Part 3. S1 was Part 1, and Part 2 was S2-S3. Part 3 is also really good so still look forward to it!
fruitspunch_samurai_2026-01-19 12:29
So part 4 is peak?
I sure hope they will go all out on this one haha
H-K_472026-01-19 13:02
Idk if there's been any large-scale community polls or anything but the sentiment I get is that P4 is a fave for a lot of people. That's how I feel too. [Vague, no spoilers] >!That's when the world really expands and we get so many cool characters and events and lore in a surprisingly interesting setting. It builds so well off of the previous arcs with great payoff and catapults things forward. Her shenanigans really start to hit critical mass.!< Not to devalue the earlier parts by any means. The story just really lives up to its title, *Ascendance* of a Bookworm, and boy does it deliver. So yeah I hope the P3 adaptation is great and we get P4 (and then P5, eventually!).
There's a lot of good stuff ahead.
Perfect_Ad83932026-01-19 13:36
Hopefully they do something to make the ending of s3 feel better cause that was atrocious.
fruitspunch_samurai_2026-01-19 13:59
Damn I‘m getting hyped
mgedmin2026-01-19 15:40
No, part 5 is the peak. But it needs all the parts before it to build up proper momentum.
justking14142026-01-19 17:20
Part 3 feels the most distinct to me. [vague, no real spoilers] >!it’s the part that feels most magical and like anything can happen!< whereas part 4 [vague, light spoilers] >!feels like freaking game of thrones!<
BeatBlockP2026-01-19 19:05
> So part 4 is peak?
YES I shit you not. I wrote in another comment - Part 4+5 is Japanese Harry Potter. Generational isekai.
KattleLaughter2026-01-19 12:43
You mean we are eating good !!???
BeatBlockP2026-01-19 19:01
We're eating so good it isn't even a joke. Once Part 4 arrives (after this season) this is basically Japanese Harry Potter. You could even start watching directly from Part 4, it's that good and there's so much content on 4+5.
Basically seasons 1-4 are all the prologue to the actual awesome story... Never thought I'd live to see that day but with this Part 3 adaptation we just might be in for fucking Chicken Nuggets day in day out
darkmacgf2026-01-19 19:54
> this is basically Japanese Harry Potter.
But... I like parts 1 and 2 way more than Harry Potter. Don't tell me this is another series where they go to magic school.
H-K_472026-01-19 20:19
I'll say that I too was quite apprehensive but the world building and unique political system made that part shine for me. It's not nearly as bad as your average isekai school.
BeatBlockP2026-01-19 20:53
[If I speak**I am in big trouble**](#emiliaohdear)
Albireookami2026-01-19 21:31
they are doing a diservice about it. The royal academy is only 3 months out of the whole year, the winter seasons, but its mainly where people of the MC station go to form political ties with other duchty, its where the series opens up to the whole nation and you get the full picture of everything going on.
Along with learning the actual system of the world and how they work after seeing pieces of it in part 3.
Honestly they are completely wrong in saying you can skip parts 1/2/3, as you will miss everything that makes the MC actually push forward and all the stepping stones in world building. No one should ever suggest you skip so much.
Tacitus_2026-01-19 23:28
Ferdinand (the priest looking after her in the temple) already said that she *needs* to go to the magic school when he realised how much mana she has. So she will go there.
H-K_472026-01-19 23:38
> You could even start watching directly from Part 4, it's that good and there's so much content on 4+5.
I would definitely not recommend this at all. Indeed Parts 1-3 seem like a prologue in hindsight, but it's only because of all that buildup and time spent learning about the world that P4 shines.
Agret2026-01-19 12:54
Really surprises me sometimes which series get so much development and which ones are gone after 1 or 2 seasons. I didn't think this one was too special from the first 2 seasons but everyone seems to say it picks up a lot so I'll keep watching it, hopefully they will do justice to the source material.
H-K_472026-01-19 13:07
Yeah there's so many different factors behind it, almost feels like blind luck. Really sucks when popular stuff like One Punch Man or Berserk get utter slop. Bookworm (from what I understand) is mad popular and acclaimed so I'm glad it gets the attention it deserves.
Tacitus_2026-01-19 14:06
Bookworm is one of the few series that won the "this LN is amazing" award so many times that they were put into the Hall of Fame so that others could get a chance to win.
Jellionani2026-01-19 16:44
And it deserves it! It has so much packed into it while not being a copy-paste of the Tolkien fantasy that now dominates the market. Not that, but the writer puts tremendous effort into keeping the story focused but varied. There is no formula gone stale, or the escapism of isekai being so blatant, the series kept getting better.
Agret2026-01-19 14:21
Meanwhile...
> Sep 30, 2025 It's official! Reborn as a Vending Machine Season 3 is happening.
oops_i_made_a_typi2026-01-19 16:35
still better than RaG S5
BeatBlockP2026-01-19 19:02
Damn machine learning has gotten fucking far if Retrieval Augmented Generation hits season 5
PartRight64062026-01-19 19:54
I forced myself to watch the entirety of s1 of that anime. If you like anime with little to no animation, no worthwhile plot, no character development, no charm, a deus ex machina coming in and saving the day every episode, and just a dash of fetishism, its the show for you.
SpicaGenovese2026-01-19 15:59
As a Nerd I love it a lot. And it has interesting world building.
feb9142026-01-19 16:51
The world building is second to none. The author laid out how the whole series would go from beginning to end before she started writing, which makes the story and character consistent. Other LN usually run out of ideas after 3 LN or so and either repeat the plot or things go more and more absurd. AoB can have something mentioned off hand early on to be a key part many books later.
H-K_472026-01-19 18:38
There's so much foreshadowing too that you'd never catch on a first read but is extremely blatant once you understand. Very intricately planned.
Albireookami2026-01-19 21:57
Chekhov's gun, more like armory.
justking14142026-01-19 17:16
I legit almost dropped it after the first episode because mc was so annoying but it got so good that I binged the light novels and then recorded an hour long video explaining the timeline lol
feb9142026-01-19 18:58
For her to ascend, she has to start from the bottom, including personality wise.
ProbablyNotTheCocoa2026-01-20 14:03
The anime got fucked over major time, the studio got far less episodes than they wanted and it ended up with part 2 getting rushed and poorly paced, lots of semi-important stuff also got skipped
DrinkGinAndKerosene2026-01-19 14:42
I wish for full adaptation. Praise be!
Albireookami2026-01-19 15:19
If you were not aware, this is the anime taking MHA's broadcast spot.
H-K_472026-01-19 15:22
Yep. It's a premium broadcast slot so indicates a lot of faith in it. Hopefully it pays off.
8andahalfby112026-01-19 14:13
Switching to Studio WIT will do that.
spubbbba2026-01-19 20:13
That's a really good sign.
Even if I hadn't already enjoyed the first 3 seasons would still be intrigued by this visual. So many anime have the most bland and uninspiring visuals. All too often the show itself is equally bland and by the numbers.
Having checked out the trailer it appears this will be a much better looking season for sure. Which is great as the earlier seasons had fantastic worldbuilding and characters. Was far more invested in if Myne would get her printing press than if harem protag would defeat the demonlord in genetic isekai #1672
Obaruler2026-01-20 16:09
This.
My favorite japanese LN gets finally the love it deserves. And I appear to not be the only one, as its popularity as far as LN purchases goes has expoded after the last season aired on TV.
ErenIsNotADevil2026-01-20 17:08
I pray for this adaption to be ordained by the blessed breeze of Schuztaria. Praise be to the Gods!
ChoiceSupermarket2302026-01-19 10:14
So re:zero tensei bookworm slime will cut emissions at the same time, the best time for isekai fans
Terrapinja2026-01-19 11:21
What
Since when are rezero tensei bookworm and tensura green energy
Usodearu0072026-01-19 11:43
if by tensei you mean mushoku, then thats wrong because it airs in summer unlike the other three.
ProfessionalSad63392026-01-19 12:01
I think they meant Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken.
Plah1sh3572026-01-19 10:18
I cant wait anymore, this is my most anticipated show of 2026!
SecurityOdd48612026-01-19 10:20
This was one isekai anime that really surprised me.
I only started watching it out of boredom, but I started liking it a lot after a few episodes.
This year is straight up fire. Frieren S2, Bookworm S4, Apothecary Diaries S3 and movie later this year just to name a few.
I wasn't this hyped up for a year for a while
namewithak2026-01-19 10:30
Witch Hat Atelier in April too. That should be one to watch. Fingers crossed that studio (which was also the Zom 100 studio) doesn't fuck it up.
StreamingPanda2026-01-19 14:03
Fun fact, there's an official cross over between bookworm and witch hat atelier. The two authors are close friends and miya kazuki (bookworm author) released it on her twitter with plans for adapting it into the bookworm fanbook at a later time.
Lev5592026-01-19 19:06
Love that comic. And of course it was all Mynes fault. Somehow
Lerdroth2026-01-19 10:42
It's honestly a pretty mid adaptation from the LN's and yet still enjoyable, I hope they make it better for S4.
Mutant_Fool2026-01-19 11:22
It was a classic low budget adaptation meant to promote sales of the novel. This time they have higher ambitions and are aiming to make it the "Harry Potter of Japan" and have allotted a high budget and also selected WIT studios so I am sure they will put out something way better than the previous seasons.
H-K_472026-01-19 11:57
We're so lucky. The anime should have just fizzled out and been abandoned. Thankfully the source material is so good and popular it's justifying this new wave of investment.
Hope it turns out great, and gains the popularity, and the franchise thrives.
Albireookami2026-01-19 15:21
Believe its a series where it just kept selling good even in later volumes when most series taper out near the end.
Most-Artichoke61842026-01-19 11:50
Three of my favorite animes.
magicalideal2026-01-19 12:56
Hey that sounds just like what happened to me as well. I also watched it out of boredom but to my surprise, I enjoyed it quite a lot even though the animation was really subpar. The story itself is enough to attract me. I eventually went on to read the LN and it became my top favourite alongside Mushoku Tensei.
majideitteru2026-01-19 10:25
Oh my god this looks gorgeous!!!!
gem2niki2026-01-19 10:28
What an upgrade!
Pacify_2026-01-19 12:50
I'm struggling to think of another series that had a studio change between seasons that actually is a large upgrade, rather than a downgrade. Studio changes almost always end up being downgrades
kwokinator2026-01-19 14:47
Date a Live S3 to S4 and S5 was a huge upgrade.
DrinkGinAndKerosene2026-01-19 14:55
Deen > Ufotable
Pacify_2026-01-19 15:20
Depends if you call the 3 fate stay night routes as a series or not, but yes definitely one hell of an upgrade if you do
tripleaamin2026-01-19 15:18
Kingdom was a notable upgrade for S3. Tho that is more so stating how bad the first 2 seasons were.
Pacify_2026-01-19 15:21
Did kingdom actually change studio though? I thought the animation just improved at some point
tripleaamin2026-01-19 15:30
Yes studio signpost. Pierrot is still credited but majority of the work is done by signpost.
Shizzi2026-01-19 15:32
Yeah like this is such an insane upgrade
sexy_snake_229xXx2026-01-19 15:37
Konosuba

Soronir2026-01-19 10:33
Easily my favorite light novel series.
feb9142026-01-19 19:09
For j-novel club subscription, I usually wait until a book translation is almost complete before subscribing then binge all parts. For this series, I subscribe continuously to get the latest translation as they go out.
Cill_Bipher2026-01-20 01:55
If you subscribe for bookworm specifically it's cheaper to just pre-order the volumes on their website instead. You get a DRM free epub when it officially releases while still getting access to the prepubs.
Accurate_Treat63602026-01-19 10:39

prazni_parking2026-01-19 11:09
Yess, I was recently watching highlights of this show on YouTube, so glad new season is coming out
86_Undertaker2026-01-19 11:11
An anime I disliked the longer it went on. The world is just anti MC the whole time, never a happy moment or outcome for her. She just get's used and she and her family suffer constantly.
H-K_472026-01-19 11:49
For me that's one of the most compelling parts of this story. She's born into such a harsh and hostile world and has to claw her way up. The exploration of the world and social structures and how cruel they can be. Really sets it apart from more laid back worlds, or pure power fantasies, or excessively edgy ones that just come across as dumb rather than interesting. Definitely gets frustrating and depressing but IMO the payoffs make it worth it.
86_Undertaker2026-01-19 12:20
I watched all 3 seasons so I'm also gonna watch the fourth. But it's just sad, there were no real pay offs yet, just a misery after another.
Khaoticsuccubus2026-01-19 13:43
We're not many I suppose but, I'm with you there. I read the LN's a while back. It was alright for the most part but, I dropped it after I took a peek ahead and found I didn't really vibe with it's direction.
Which if I'm not mistaken this season should be starting that direction. No idea why it's as seemingly popular as it is. Can only assume it's people who enjoy misery porn or what they like to call it... "realism". 😉
FajarKalawa2026-01-19 14:07
Yeah surely because of that not because ton of other "option" 😊
Khaoticsuccubus2026-01-19 16:02
🤔?
Silenthillnight2026-01-19 14:52
I'm with you here. The story totally focusing on church politics has made me lose interest. It was far more interesting when she was just trying to make books and other random things that she could sell.
chestbrook2026-01-19 11:25
my goat ferdinand, praise be to the gods
AnActualPlatypus2026-01-19 11:39
I will REALLY need some story recap at the start of this season because it has been 4 years since the last one and I almost forgot everything.
pre4edgc2026-01-19 19:15
Some of the earlier teasers we were shown had comparison frames of the new season to the old season, except completely redone in the new quality. Leads me to believe there will be some degree of recap (if not flashbacks), and will essentially be animated from scratch instead of reusing old clips.
turtlesrprettycool2026-01-19 11:40
I finally got around to watching this last week and really enjoyed myself. It was just so damn nice to watch an isakei that didn't have a ton of degenerate harem shit.
Ebirah2026-01-19 12:39
> a ton of degenerate harem shit
Myne is gradually assembling a fairly impressive father-figure harem. :-)
(If that sort of isekai is your thing, also check out *The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash*.)

crazynoyes372026-01-19 12:08
For those who feel interest in this, the anime aside this light novel series is considered among the greatest of all light novels, not just among isekai but all of the LN industry, with 33 volumes (each having generally twice the number of page counts of a regular LN) it's a very long and deep series that has all the hallmarks of an incredible fantasy novel series. I certainly can't recommend the anime which by the nature of an adaptation leaves a lot of things of the source material that elevates it to a masterpiece, so if you're ever interested in an amazingly written isekai with a female lead I would definitely reccomend this one.
H-K_472026-01-19 13:12
It's lovely. I'd read the first 2 Parts a few years back when the anime was airing. When S4 was announced I decided to try Part 3 again, maybe just read a few books to stay ahead of the adaptation.
Wound up burning through the entire rest of the entire rest of the story and the spinoffs in a few short weeks. Like ~30 decent length books. Just absolutely devoured them, fastest I've ever read anything. It's such a compelling world and story. So many deep characters. There's a lot of thought and effort put into it by the author.
KnockAway2026-01-19 13:25
>each having generally twice the number of page counts of a regular LN
I only read first 4, and if the novel is consistent with it, then it'd shorter without a lot of repetition and Main spelling things out loud.
Albireookami2026-01-19 15:22
On this note, avoid the manga because they are releasing each part as its own manga concurrently to avoid a 50 year release schedule.
PickledPokute2026-01-19 19:48
Manga is well done, but due to the parallel release just can't be the primary media type, unless willing to wait a few years.
Albireookami2026-01-19 19:48
Yea thats the reason not too, I didn't bring up quality i brought up inability to get the story
BlueDragonCultist2026-01-19 20:40
The part 2 adaptation finished, so we can finally say you can read up to part 3, lmao. It's very confusing to series newcomers that prefer manga, and I've seen several people that just continue to the next part and get very confused.
Tacitus_2026-01-19 21:19
I think saying to avoid it is a bit extreme. Parts 1-2 are finished (part 2 maybe only in japanese) so you can read those and start part 3. You just can't jump to part 4 when you run out of chapters in part 3.
pober2026-01-19 17:47
The series that gets better and better the more you read. It's incredible.
Obaruler2026-01-20 16:07
This. So much this.
I have all volumes on my Kindle App and it is easily my most favorite japanese LN. When I started reading after the last anime season aired (because I HAD to know what'll happen next) I didn't know I'd end up pre-ordering any volume that still had to be releases back then. It is that good.
thatcommiegamer2026-01-19 12:52
ngl its been so long since the last season I kinda lost interest in this series (my biggest problem as an anime watcher from before production moved from continuous and cour-based to season-based in the mid-00s). Seeing this is cool, but really trying to work up the interest, which is a shame because I thought it was pretty cool for a post-SAO isekai series, more in the vein of when isekai was a "girl's" genre than the incelbait we get now.
ChemicalBus6082026-01-19 12:55
This is a story I wouldn't mind being speed up a bit. But excited to see how this story ends.
NeverL4nd_2026-01-19 13:32
Can’t wait for more Darth Myne moments
pikkuhukka2026-01-19 13:32
i still think its overkill to have this studio do this anime
some lesser studio could have done this anime and let wit studio animate something abit more sexy
ohwell
JMB_Smash2026-01-19 16:01
I mean there are basically not any better light novel series out there, so it makes sense to give the best series, the best studio.
AnxiousIntender2026-01-19 13:41
I got bored when magic got involved. Should I force through and get ready for S4?
FajarKalawa2026-01-19 14:03
No,the series will lean more expanding the magicbuilding starting out at S4 and the series lean more into political intrigue starting from here until the end.
Wh1teR1ce2026-01-19 14:33
S4 will be moreso magic adventure, and magic will continue to be a large part of the story until the end. After part 3 (which S4 covers) it will be more political drama/thriller with magic still a significant part of the story.
SeparateElephant39952026-01-19 14:27
wow fantasy
goodnames6792026-01-19 15:06
Holy shit. I had given up hope on another season and didn’t hear anything about this one until now.
Hell yeah! :D
Shizzi2026-01-19 15:28
Im so freaking hyped man from a director that had to fight tooth and nail to get 10 ep on S3 instead of 8 to somehow get WIT studio i thought bookwork was gonna just rot after that but somehow another studio managed to get it.
tw11642026-01-19 16:14
I guess I need to catch-up.
Albireookami2026-01-19 16:28
[Here is the PV released today as well](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrQoGBYHzIU)
Japanese as no English translated is out yet.
G_Riel_2026-01-19 16:30
I'm so looking forward for the anime. I hope it finally makes justice to the quality of the novel. Hopefully someday they get to Part 4 and 5.
IM_REFUELING2026-01-19 17:23
Hell yeah brother
tapdancinghellspawn2026-01-19 17:24
I'm looking so forward to this. I wonder if we'll get far enough along to see Rozemyne's Lessy.
hfriday012026-01-19 20:33
Yes, you can see Lessy in the [PV](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrQoGBYHzIU)

I'm so god damn happy about this, maybe she won't be as tall as the door anymore! 😭
sonyaeunapu2026-01-19 17:49
damn, I’ve never seen this anime before, but I really like the character designs tbh
ThisGachaSeemsLegit2026-01-19 17:59
I was hoping so hard that I'd happen. What delightful news! The trailer is packed with content, looks like we're in for a fantastic ride again.
Also, is it me, or is the animation slightly improved? I dunno, stuff seems to be slightly different (and better), quality-wise.
Obaruler2026-01-20 16:12
Can't wait. My personal highlight next season, even above Re:Zero and Slime.
I've continued with the LNs after the last anime season aired out of curiosity and ended up buying each LN as it was published like an addict, the story is that good from here on out.
And from the optical upgrade the anime seems to have received it finally gets the recognition it deserves, as far as Isekai or even fantasy stories go, this one is among the greatest imo. It's just such a great story with such a loveable protagonist.

On this day we received blessed news. I'm so fucking hyped.
Part 3 will cover 8-12.
There are 33 volumes total
Where the heck did you hear about this ?
Anyway, don't need to believe me, this is all very IN IT information, lol, very very early, official confirmation of the next season will of course come at the end of season 4, late September. There is no commitment past that, so keep watching and buying the merch and recommending to friends if you want to see a full adaptation.
That's super neat though. Because if they are already planning for Part 4, that means they are going the whole way most likely...I mean, we all expected it, but it's nice to have a confirmation
They've also worked much closer with Miya Kazuki on this, and plus the new production committee are really committed to this series now. This is airing in the same TV slot My Hero Academia was airing in and they won't just stop at adapting Part 3. They are also going to at least start Part 4 in 2028.
I am so excited for this season
Looking so forward to this, actually a good isekai
They probably want to do Part 4 as well, which will take 3(+ a movie) to 4 cours, then part 5 is another 5 cours.
It's honestly a lot, and even if they continue to produce it non stop, it'll probably take a decade at least to finish.
I sure hope they will go all out on this one haha
There's a lot of good stuff ahead.
YES I shit you not. I wrote in another comment - Part 4+5 is Japanese Harry Potter. Generational isekai.
Basically seasons 1-4 are all the prologue to the actual awesome story... Never thought I'd live to see that day but with this Part 3 adaptation we just might be in for fucking Chicken Nuggets day in day out
But... I like parts 1 and 2 way more than Harry Potter. Don't tell me this is another series where they go to magic school.
I would definitely not recommend this at all. Indeed Parts 1-3 seem like a prologue in hindsight, but it's only because of all that buildup and time spent learning about the world that P4 shines.
> Sep 30, 2025 It's official! Reborn as a Vending Machine Season 3 is happening.
My favorite japanese LN gets finally the love it deserves. And I appear to not be the only one, as its popularity as far as LN purchases goes has expoded after the last season aired on TV.
Since when are rezero tensei bookworm and tensura green energy
I only started watching it out of boredom, but I started liking it a lot after a few episodes.
This year is straight up fire. Frieren S2, Bookworm S4, Apothecary Diaries S3 and movie later this year just to name a few.
I wasn't this hyped up for a year for a while
Hope it turns out great, and gains the popularity, and the franchise thrives.
Praise be to the Gods!!!
Which if I'm not mistaken this season should be starting that direction. No idea why it's as seemingly popular as it is. Can only assume it's people who enjoy misery porn or what they like to call it... "realism". 😉
Myne is gradually assembling a fairly impressive father-figure harem. :-)
(If that sort of isekai is your thing, also check out *The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash*.)
