Reccomodation for fantasy anime like frieren during prime

Hey so can anyone suggest any good fantasy anime or show ,like frieren but during the hero age but main party
It's fine of its Isekai, but leaning more into fantasy
Yeah no gimmicky animes with stupid premise just good written main party with good plot
Animation is not important it's fine if watchable

Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken 2020 is probably my go to example for this sort of "quest to beat the demon lord" thing. It's a battle shounen based on the setting of Dragon Quest 3 so it has the same magic and whatnot, but it's a completely original series that is more in line with the typical shounen. The animation remains consistently good for the entire run and it's complete. The series gets better and better as it goes with characters constantly given more depth including the villains.

Thanks, will try out

I hope you like it. It's interesting to note that it also mirrors Frieren a bit because there was another recent hero's party that defeated the previous Maou, but the adventure here continues from there in an interesting way.

The only thing I can recommend is "Dungeon Meshi".

I don't recommend Goblin Slayer at all. It's bland and filled with cheap Japanese anime tropes. Gary Stu and his cheerleaders.

Good fantasy in anime is extremely rare.

I liked Dai no Daibouken, but it's significantly different from Frieren. Good anime.

The Faraway Paladin is a Lord of the Rings bootleg.

If you're willing to abandon the fantasy combat party premise, "Bookworm" is amazing.

Thanks for reccomodation
I tried watching dungeon meshi but it's just too goophy and not serious
It's just not my cup of tea

Dungeon Meshi is serious though. It's the most serious fantasy anime available (even more serious than Frieren). Strong comic relief doesn't always mean that an anime doesn't have a serious and gripping story.

If you are skeptical of my claim, feel free to look up episodes 11-12 (the first serious combat encounter), or episode 17 (the second, and much more dramatic combat encounter).

Well, there's nothing I can do. If you want to jump to conclusions, I'll just let you be. Many people initially dismiss Dungeon Meshi as "goofy comedy" only to discover the serious campaign months later.

Oh sorry don't misunderstand me I didn't mean in that way
I meant more like serious overall tone , in more for ex if something bad happen then it should actually affect them for several episodes and not forget on next day) I just want something which doesn't scream anime somthing like got tone or hunger game tone(not story wise but atmosphere)
Will definitely check out dungeon meshi sometime later tho.
