i see these infographics posted regularly but what is their sample size?

the OP
tripleaamin2026-01-19 16:30
Anime Trending doesn't disclose it, but given that the Anime Trending Twitter account has 940k followers vs. Anime Corner, which has 60k followers. Anime Corner polls seem to be anywhere from 3k to 10k. More for end-of-the-year polls.
At the very least, one would assume the voting count in Anime Trending is much, much higher than Anime Corner.
Thatuk2026-01-19 16:42
They also have facebook pages, there AC has over one million followers and AT roughly the same as well.
TyphoonSG32026-01-19 17:24
They do disclose it. Both of them, just at the end, after all 11 weeks. I keep track of these stats.
For 2025:
Winter 2025: Anitrendz (46,762) VS AniCorner (37,166)
Spring 2025: Anitrendz (32,395) VS AniCorner (56,291)
Summer 2025: Anitrendz (51,291) VS AniCorner (46,248)
Fall 2025: Anitrendz (54,117) VS AniCorner (37,051)
luceafaruI2026-01-19 16:33
I believe it's in the thousands. Theoretically enough to have significance but it's not randomly sampled so it's basically just the opinion of a clear subgroup. That's why it doesn't match at all the general opinion (such as tamon's b side being 2nd place)
TyphoonSG32026-01-19 17:30
Depends on the season.
For 2025,
AniTrendz highest - 54,117
AniCorner highest - 56,291
AniTrendz lowest - 32,395
AniCorner lowest - 37,051
AniTrendz had a higher overall for 3 seasons (Winter, Summer and Fall) while AniCorner had a higher overall for one season (Spring). The sample size for each is in another comment (reply to tripleaamin).
Pharaoh_Misa2026-01-19 19:17
Usually from a couple thousand to tens of thousands depending on the week (with the tens of thousands being counted for more seasonal polling). The images usually posted to this sub will have the headcount at the bottom of the image.
[Anime Corner had 3600+ for the first week](https://animecorner.me/winter-2026-anime-rankings-week-1/) and during the second week (last week) [had over 4700 voters](https://animecorner.me/winter-2026-anime-rankings-week-2/).
As an example for how many participants we have in *this* sub, our Winter 2026 anticipation poll [had a little under 400 voters](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/s/Y4rdKwd5ca), however, anime corner's had [a little over 5400](https://animecorner.me/winter-2026-most-anticipated-anime-rankings/).
It's not a crazy amount, but it's definitely larger than the responses to polls we have in this sub or on other platforms that are held weekly. That's prolly because it's easier to vote on the other site than it is to do so in this sub (i.e. many people miss these anime mod posts here, but regular users of the other sites don't).
[Feel free to join that list by voting here](https://polls.animecorner.me/). The link doesn't change week to week, so you can bookmark/refresh the page to use the open poll. As far as I know, the results of the Fall 2025 season polling hasn't come out, but for reference [ours had about 300 participants](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/s/lw1QN5S2El). It's less a depiction of what is *good* and simply what is more *trending* in terms of what people are reporting that they are watching. Not necessarily to be taken as gospel, but a good indicator of at least what more dedicated fans (who devote themselves to these weekly polls) are looking at.
I imagine that anitrendz is roughly the same, but I don't use that one myself since I find the site messy.
DragoSphere2026-01-19 20:26
Sample size doesn't really matter once you get into the couple thousands. What's important is the sampling method
the-big-dingo2026-01-19 16:26
Why does this get posted like 10x a week
Hectorc342026-01-19 17:04
And they’re always a different list for some reason
Ok-Cod52542026-01-19 17:31
There's different lists on Infrographic flair from different places (r/anime data, Anime Trending polls, Anime Corner polls, etc).
Probably to see the variety the lists can have with their anime selection ranking.
TyphoonSG32026-01-19 17:31
Because it's two different polling websites. AniTrendz and AniCorner.
zairaner2026-01-20 00:22
Why should people post the same thing multiple times, what?
They also literally can't, as those inforgraphics can only be posted by the original creators (the people from the site in question ion these cases), so only one person cna post these in the first place
Galactus17012026-01-19 16:32
I’m here for You and I are Polar Opposites, Tamon’s B Side and obviously, my queen Frieren (next week)
ClemFire2026-01-19 16:35
Polar Opposites has just been so good. It wowed me the most before the Frieren S2 premiere
Galactus17012026-01-19 17:21
I read the manga and loved it, but the anime is even better. The production values, colors, VA, and the insanity is all there and more.
ClemFire2026-01-19 17:40
I can just see so much love for the source material. That passion reminds me of my favorite anime last year My Dress-Up Darling S2. If Polar Opposites maintains that level of quality I can easily see it being one of my favorites this year.
Galactus17012026-01-19 18:10
I am also a huge MDUD fan and loved Season 2 as well. These crews love their respective source materials and respect the story, the authors’ intentions and their respective visual styles.
ClemFire2026-01-19 23:16
I always love to see that level of passion for the source material because it really feels like the stars have to align just right with the production committee, studio, animators, VAs, etc. When it does happen though is when anime can reach higher highs than manga.
Frontier2462026-01-19 16:33
Jujustu Kaisen back on-top!
Utage won’t be satisifed until Tamon is #1.
Glad Hell’s Paradise is in the top 3.
Fire Force, Fate, Vigilantes, and Oshi no Mo make sense. Nice to see Sentenced to be a Hero, Polar Opposites and Shiboyugi in there.
Fraho912026-01-19 16:35
Sentenced to be a hero, that's awesome!
tripleaamin2026-01-19 16:35
Oh wow, Tamon is pretty high up. I love the manga and anime but didn't think it would be this high.
My Hero spin-off and Fire Force above both Oshi no Ko and Fate is also a surprise. Well, the MHA main series ended, so it would make sense for traction for the spinoff to occur for people wanting more.
SadAnimator13542026-01-19 16:58
Tamon was refreshingly good. Can't wait to see how it progresses.
Ok-Cod52542026-01-19 17:14
>Oh wow, Tamon is pretty high up. I love the manga and anime but didn't think it would be this high.
Anime Trending has an audience that also can enjoy shoujo demographic series pretty well. So makes sense with their track record (ex: 7th Time Loop, My Happy Marriage, etc).
>My Hero spin-off and Fire Force above both Oshi no Ko and Fate is also a surprise.
Oshi no ko had a strong pull on Anime Trending with S1 and even pretty well with S2, but its later manga reception has seemed to influence it a good amount for less hype going into it.
Fate episode release being spread apart may have an effect on that as well losing some momentum.
KxPbmjLI2026-01-19 22:27
This is from week 1 so pretty sure that was just the rerun of episode "1"(2 actually) so it was nothing new
I'm betting week 2 will have it way higher and just consistently growing and rising as it finally gets momentum
You can already see it in the difference between the episode 1 and 2 threads
thisisdropd2026-01-19 16:36
Male ~~models~~ idols. *So hot right now*!
'**Tamon's B-Side**' & '**You and I Are Polar Opposites**' will likely be in a constant battle for the romance category throughout the season. They've both been rock solid.
GokaiRed642026-01-19 16:40
I love You and I are Polar Opposites, it's the ROMCOM I've been looking for.
Why hasn't the OP been uploaded?
Yoshikaru59912026-01-19 16:41
Anime Corner > Anime Trending. At least Anime Corner actually discloses their poll results.
Somehow Anime Trending always feels like an industry plant to me, dunno how to explain it
Noli_de_Nolan2026-01-19 16:42
Tamon B Sides! 🔥
Im a shonen guy, but im really glad we have a shoujo anime! I thought the genre was dead. But JC Staff revived shoujo and make peak fiction 🔥
moichispa2026-01-19 19:15
I think one of the good points of Tamon is that it is just fun beyond demographics. you watch the episode and laugh at the jokes. You don't need to rely on complicated lore or genre specifics.
abys932026-01-19 16:49
The cut off is so weird since frieren isn't even on the list
infinitySDG2026-01-19 20:27
I am also confused
But who cares we at least got a banger episode
Spar_Any2026-01-19 17:04
JC staff never misses 💯
Competitive-Ship-1242026-01-19 17:15
Hells paradise top 3 you love to see it !
Archy382026-01-19 17:26
I hope sentenced to be a hero doesn't lose momentum, was very surprised with a long ep1 but this sort of revenge story can get quickly diluted and paced weirdly and hope it doesn't end up like Shield hero.
kazuyaminegishi2026-01-19 19:46
So far to me as an anime only, the upsides so far are the animation quality being on par with Mushoku Tensei s1 (havent seen beyond that so idk how well it holds up in later seasons, tho i assume it stays consistent).
The story so far isn't doing anything unique, its biggest pull is subverting the name associations like hero and goddess.
My hope is that it doesnt drag out the mysteries and actually moves relatively quickly into having a specific enemy they are working to beat instead of drip feeding the world. My impression so far is that the world isnt THAT interesting.
Unusual_Pilot25022026-01-20 01:23
on the contrary the world is really interesting to me! with demon lords as a fungal infection, goddesses being man made in some way, and the "scorched earth" spell just being a fucking bomb! lots of subversions of classic ideas and new takes on them, which is always refreshing, and theres hints of this being a world set after our own, and im always a sucker for post post apocalypse stories. the temple clearly knows more than they were letting on in the trial, and it feels like theres something very shady going on behind the scenes to do with Xylo's sentencing. also not watched episode 2 yet, but im really excited to find out more about the world tbh :3
oops_i_made_a_typi2026-01-20 04:11
the world building is interesting yea but the plot stuff is hella bland. character is maybe on the good side of average?
TheMoorNextDoor2026-01-19 17:45
Fate Strange Fake being number 10 still is ridiculous.
So basically when Frieren hits the list it’ll be knocked out of the top 10 which is complete bull to me.
No way it shouldn’t be in the top 5 bare minimum right now.
Fishy00000000002026-01-19 18:36
The first 2 episode being released once a year really killed its momentum
Blue_Reaper992026-01-19 19:30
I think it's mainly because this season is stacked.
mmcjawa_reborn2026-01-19 18:58
I'm digging Fate Strange Fake but the Fate franchise if kind of an imposing and at times confusing series to jump into. I suspect that might be hurting it.
3_14_thon2026-01-19 19:22
You dont really need to know much about Fate to enjoy the new series tho. Watching ep 0 will help way more, than watching Fate/Stay Night or Fate/Zero
mmcjawa_reborn2026-01-19 21:37
I don't disagree, but in a very full season I think people are still wary of taking that plunge...
FirestormCold2026-01-20 00:36
I can only speak for myself but I don't feel like getting into Fate (never watched any) since there's like 20 different works with tons of spinoffs and so on.
So many other good stuff to watch that's easily watchable in terms of the order, why bother. Also most fate stuff isnt on crunchyroll for me so even less reason to watch any
oops_i_made_a_typi2026-01-20 04:14
think you've fallen for the "fate is complex" propaganda tbh, there's only really 2 main series to watch. and like the other guy said, Strange Fake is a perfectly fine start
B4rberblacksheep2026-01-20 15:31
> you've fallen for the "fate is complex" propaganda tbh
It's not propaganda if it's just how it looks from the outside looking in
oops_i_made_a_typi2026-01-21 03:24
because of social media lol, aka propaganda
BLACKOUT-MK22026-01-20 01:58
Yeah, especially if you're watching stuff outside the Stay/Night-verse you're pretty in the clear. Generally-speaking for most of the shows, the gist is that people get elected into a war for the holy grail where, if they're the last one standing, their wish is granted. They have a super-charged figure of myth assigned to them to help who they can command to do 3 things of their choosing with the seals that appear on their hand. That's about it, that's all you need to know. People scare themselves out of watching it way too hard. If you want to dip your toes in, just pick a standalone one and go.
KxPbmjLI2026-01-19 22:25
This is from week 1 so pretty sure that was just the rerun of episode "1"(2 actually) so it was nothing new
I'm betting week 2 will have it way higher and just consistently growing and rising as it finally gets momentum
You can already see it in the difference between the episode 1 and 2 threads
DragoSphere2026-01-20 07:26
This list seems to be using episode 2. Each new episode of Fate has been ramping up buzz on all platforms, so there's a good chance Fate actually increases its ranking next week
ixidorsDreams2026-01-19 18:00
Fate is the best of season these lists are driving ME INSANE
oops_i_made_a_typi2026-01-20 04:16
i mean Frieren is here too but FSF is definitely my #2
FireRifle642026-01-19 18:08
no hate for fire force, i enjoy the series. read the manga and cant wait to see the rest adapted. just shocked at how high it is.
First_Permission_5572026-01-19 18:10
is vigilantes worth it at all? I haven't even watched S1 EP1
Ok-Cod52542026-01-19 18:47
Worth checking out, especially if you want to see more within the world of MHA and has appearances of some characters in the main series.
Razetony2026-01-19 18:50
Yeah unfortunately I think the author really fucked up making Tamaki fan service bait. If she was normal the series would be higher. Every person I talk to only has that single issue with the show and I completely get it.
Aggressive_Maize69542026-01-19 19:35
I think you're talking about Fire Force. The guy is asking about MHA Vigilantes
Razetony2026-01-20 02:30
What the. I haven't even seen the comment I replied to lmao. I replied to a comment about fire force.
Aggressive_Maize69542026-01-19 19:36
Yes. It also adds depth to MHA's background characters
infinitySDG2026-01-19 20:29
Ive read the manga and it's preety good
The anime is also nice if you can endure stopid fan service
We got Batman
REPULSORO2026-01-20 09:54
For me Knuckleduster closer to Punisher and Midnighter than Batman
infinitySDG2026-01-20 15:07
Alright
petej6852026-01-21 07:52
I personally enjoyed the manga of vigilantes much more than the original. Felt much less predictable and more authentic somehow
AshenF3nr1r2026-01-19 18:16
Nice to see MHA:V in top 5
Pharaoh_Misa2026-01-19 18:42
Oh wow! Tamon is up there! I was supposed to start it already, but work. I'll make it more of a priority then!
mmcjawa_reborn2026-01-19 19:01
I didn't have any expectations going in but it's been the funniest series so far for me. So definitely worth the look!
Training_Bother_16632026-01-19 19:08
Shiboyugi Top 8, I hope it will go up even more as the story progresses. 🔥
I_Am_NOT_The_Titan2026-01-19 19:42
you can really tell how shit the average anime fan's taste is when you see strange fake at #10
Traditional-Ride28852026-01-19 19:51
where is HunterxHunter lol
Cyd_arts2026-01-19 20:50
Tamon!!
IceAnt5732026-01-19 21:06
Pleasant surprise to see *Tamon’s B-Side* in 2nd. I wonder if it can consistently stay that high up with Anime Trending voters.
Happy that *SHIBOYUGI: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table* is in Top 10 when it wasn't really that [anticipated among Anime Trending voters](https://anitrendz.net/news/2025/12/31/list-the-most-anticipated-anime-of-winter-2026/) (it was at 33rd).
A disappointing start for *【Oshi no Ko】S3* to be at 9th, but I can imagine why (it's really hard to keep talking about this series without a source reader replying to you about this and this).
AjGameplays2026-01-19 21:39
I love this season

Literally watching every single one of these, besides Tampns B side
Hellwemade2026-01-20 00:51
Love, jkk, of course, but the entire episode was a 20 minute power point presentation?
ConsciousWheel53452026-01-20 07:33
maybe you needed to fucking learn about the culling games and its rules
SeparateElephant39952026-01-20 04:04
Does that anime deserve it?

Romcom enjoyers, check out You and I are Polar Opposites!

Is strange fake finally out?

Golden Kamuy is all I need. The rest are just cherries on top
Damastah1012026-01-20 06:35
Damn Tamon at #2 is a welcomed surprise.
Glad to see You and I Are Polar Opposites made the top 10. Hoping it breaks into the Top 5 next week~
JellyfishPatient242026-01-20 10:47
Sad and unsurprised journal with witch is not up there. It is such a nice, cosy and heart-warming anime.
spacesaid2026-01-20 10:47
No its gama😂
THEGoDLiKeMIKE2026-01-20 12:03
MFG isn't even on the list and jjk tops with with an episode that is literally a 20 minute explanation of a flow chart which was covered in like 3 pages of Manga. Blows my mind.
According-Disk2026-01-20 14:35
Tamon's B-side doing so phenomenally well is a good sign for future shoujo adaptions 🤞 plenty of good stories can be found in that demograph.
Apprehensive_Ear86752026-01-20 18:20
Need to watch all of this…
MammothAssistant23972026-01-20 18:25

I’m here for Frieren, Polar Opposites and Journal with Witch - I need happiness and positive vibes right now

So which is more legitimate this or anime corner? Cause both have huge differences in anime of the week.
BiteSized_Reddit2026-01-21 05:36
I loved fire force- this 3rd season is a total waste of time.
