First anime watched 2026

I just finished my first anime (new, never seen before) in 2026. Romance titled "My Wife Has No Emotion". Rarely mentioned here from what I saw but if anyone is into warm, funny, light and not typical romance with something to laugh about I recommend it.

Forced myself to watch one episode a day so took me a bit of time :) Dunno about next one, but maybe I go for Starship Operators for change of pace.

I did watch the wife robot anime too, and it wasn't anything extraordinary, but was a nice and calm story, so that may be the reason why it isn't talked about much.

If you do like animes with robots / Androids with them, I can also recommend you "Atri - my dear moments" and "plastic Memories"

I do, thanks. I would not rank it as 10/10, but it is nice to watch and giggle from time to time. Mind break kind of anime.

For robot-human interaction my 10/10 is Time of Eve, but then I do not search for such anime so I probably have not seen a lot of good stuff. I will check titles you mentioned.

I started 2026 off with Watanare: Next Shine on the first day of the year. Was a phenomenal follow-up to the season from last year and the most disaster lesbian thing I've seen in a while.

Yeah, I watched Boku no Tsuma wa Kanjou ga Nai as a seasonal week to week back as it was airing in the summer of 2024. It was #5 in my Top 10 for that year and my favorite romance of that year.

I liked it in particular because romance is one of my favorite genres, but I only generally like and most gravitate toward romances where there's some transgressive element to it as I find them more relatable, so interspecies as one example (like love with an alien, beastperson, vampire, youkai, etc. Or in this case, robot/android).

For all of 2024 and 2025 I only watched seasonals as opposed to older series with at least one finished season out (which I very much need to get back to as I've been saying for a while now, since I have a backlog in the multiple hundreds), so I haven't completed much since the start of the new 2026 year as most series I'm watching are ongoing.

But even with seasonal watching there are always some series I either slightly or majorly fall behind on after I start them during the season or don't even discover or feel like starting until well after the season even though I had noted them down, so I'm still watching various series from last spring, summer, and autumn.

So my first fully completed one was Shirohiyo - Reincarnated as a Neglected Noble: Raising My Baby Brother with Memories from My Past Life, a spring 2025 seasonal I didn't start until last October and finished in early January.

And I have three episodes left to go on and will probably finish today or tomorrow Let's Play: Quest-darake no My Life, an autumn 2025 seasonal.

Starship Operators is such a throwback. It has some of the most “realistic” (for anime standards) depiction of space combat.

I started with the one I was putting off for long time
It's "Classroom of elite" and it's like very famous for smart anime genre but the moment I ended the anime my whole fyp was filled with criticising every part of this anime and how pick me ayanokoji and to be honest I kinda agree😭. The whole sigma nonchalant person was proven the dumbest character in the anime.
Pls help i can't with these memes too funny😭😭
