Is this at the start of the 2nd season? That's a great meta bit.
Schrko872026-01-19 17:54
Yeah it is. I love how they even redid the toast torture from season 1.
Eliaish2026-01-22 03:16
That’s hilarious
Any-Computer-40532026-01-19 19:55
I absolutely love that this is literally them celebrating the release of its own 2nd season lmao

Comedy that is self aware and mocks itself is some of the best comedy writing.

It's incredibly on brand for the show's world as well. I've not been able to get into the anime as much but the manga's one of my favourites

Add Hellholm to the fictional places I’d love to move to. It’s all so wholesome and the benefits are incredible.

This show is very comfy and it surely does brighten my mondays.

This announcement look better that one man punch S3.
Tonberryc2026-01-20 00:59
Such a comfy show, but I have to be sure to eat before I watch most episodes. Gives me the munchies.
Krider-kun2026-01-20 04:28
I wonder if the bits at the beginning of this episode were all anime originals before we got into the basketball portion of the episode.
SSjjlex2026-01-20 05:00
I think its half-half. They did a chapter celebrating the anime's 1st season and the studio adapted it to be about the 2nd season. Its been a while since I read the manga but I do know the anime loves to shuffle random chapters in whatever order they like to get the right composition. The only actually in order part of that episode was the basketball coming after the isekai episode.
whoisfriend2026-01-20 22:34
This scene specifically is from the chapter that came out when they announced the second season.

Feels [very Kaguya-sama](https://youtu.be/cxTxrKrYkcY?si=pK9IPb_vDA6MQIW4&t=80) in its delivery (in a positive way).

WHEN THEY START PLAYING THE THEME SONG DURING A FIGHT IT ALWAYS GETS ME PUMPED
KingdomKeyper2026-01-22 00:49
I love this show so much, I think one of my favorite parts is the fact that the Demon King lives in an apartment complex, and commutes to the castle on a daily basis. When talking about it to my partner we joked that his reasoning is the complex is close to his daughters school
