Kaiji: ultimate survivor anime

I’m watching this show and I don't mess with the art style so far, I'm only on the first episode though. Does the art style get easier to get used to later on? I plan on watching the first 10 episodes and if I still don't mess with it I plan on dropping it

Art style is literally just something you get used to.

Like many other things.
Or you don't, but then that's personal.

There is seriously nothing any other person could tell you about this, it is entirely, literally 100% dependent on you

you forget the art style after 2-3 eps tbh, its a good watch if you can get past that. one of the best gambling anime to exist

I usually watch only the first 5 episodes to give the story a fair chance of pulling me in, although most of the animes I can say I love pulled me in from episode 1 😂

Story matters more than art style. Kaiji is one of the best shows I've seen, and I never even cared about the ugly art style past the first episode

Great writing.

Character designs are ass.

You get used to it after being exposed to it long enough.

If you like smarts, cunning, cheating, drama, and comic relief, you will eventually get hooked.

That said, it's hard to start watching because of the art style. I don't fault you for putting off indefinitely.

Kaiji is basically a smarter and hilarious version of Squid Game (note, Squid Game ripped off both Kaiji and one other manga).

My favorite part of the show is probably how the villains start out incredibly evil, but then they usually end up becoming the butt of jokes or victims themselves.

The mangaka does a great job of making the audience relate to everyone. And he writes so many manga... (Same shitty art, but I can't take my eyes off his characters).

I hated the art style at first and now Kaiji is my favorite anime. It grows on you.
