Any good animes that don’t seem overly sexualized?
okay this might sound like a really weird post title but as an avid tv show lover I like all types of tv shows except for some reason I’ve just never liked anime
i’ve tried to watch an anime with some of my friends before and I’ve seen clips of many animes on social media but for some reason it hit me that I don’t really like animes because there always seems to be a weirdly oversexualized feel to a lot of them. I know all tv shows are very sexualized but for some reason anime is one I cannot get past being overly sexual. I prefer watching shows that are more adventurous but still have just a good amount of romance
Also being a woman, for some reason female characters that are infantilized or have an overly high pitched voice makes me uncomfortable
i’m not hating on anyone that likes these kind of animes but i’m curious if there’s any that aren’t like that so much

Just not so much to the point where it feels like it’s distracting from the main plot
Edit: Oh, and watch the first four episodes together. They're meant to be viewed as one single thing to kick off the plot
Edit: Watch FMAB first
Violet Evergarden
Hyouka
Frieren
Haibane Renmei
Super Cub
*Movies:*
I Want to Eat Your Pancreas
A Silent Voice
Liz and the Blue Bird
All Studio Ghibli movies
And check out the various Studio Ghibli movies. Beloved by many, action oriented, generally fantastical, often romance, no sex or fanservice that I can recall.
Also it might help to know that the higher pitches of women's voices in anime isn't (usually) an infantalizing thing. Women in Japan tend to speak in higher tones than the West. Even if they have a naturally lower register, higher and softer is considered polite.

I did my best to stay away from shows with to much fanservice and these all have pretty strong female characters. If you would like some more recomendations just let me know what genre you would like or even what tv shows/movies you watch.
