I was looking through the 8bit MAL page and I thought this was interesting and hadn't seen anyone mention it before.

So between 2020 and 2023 they were sticking to around 2-3 anime/cours per year but then in 2024 they suddenly had 6 projects (7 cours in total) and a movie. Just seems a bit crazy to me. Maybe the drop in quality with Blue Lock S2 was partly related to this?

Anyway then they didn't have any anime airing in 2025 FWIW, that's why it's not on the table even though I mentioned it. Maybe has something to do with That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 being 5 cours long, lol.
