Adaptations that got troubling production/ruined by the original publisher’s involvement and expectation?
Just got my hand on Konorano 2025 edition, which featured a special interview with Yume-sensei in which he talked about how Gagaga and Fukui’s involvement delayed Chiramune Anime for a long amount of time (rumored to be 1.5 years from original showing dates) for quality improvement so that Chiramune can be the very best adaptation, but then again after episode 5 for the same reason. Further reading into the situation revealed potential displeasure from Gagaga and Fukui’s side that Chiramune’s animation quality isn’t as good as their other work’s adaptation, Makeine from A1 despite feel’s best effort, possibly explaining the sudden 3 week-long delay mid-season. Since it is such an unique case, I was wondering if anything like this ever happened before?

The mangaka was incensed, and took complete control over the second season. I got about 15 minutes into the first episode.
