They make pretty good non anime music tbh, a couple of talented guys. Personal fav, the very hungry caterpillar.

Sb3ard2026-01-20 03:20

I’m a big fan of the doppelgänger song. That could easily be an anime opening.

Artsy7272026-01-20 03:24

a good supernatural or psychological anime opening im ngl

No-Statistician-88212026-01-20 08:58

Absolutely agree! and Creepy Nuts consistently delivers excellent tracks.. da vibrations on the Call of da Night OST are insane.

darkravenn122026-01-20 03:25

That band genuinely makes some of the worst anime music ever to me. A lot of people seem to love them though, so I guess they're doing something right. To each their own.

Everyone has different tastes, may just not be your type of music. I like the hip hop style of it, mixed with some other flavors: it feels very unique

oops_i_made_a_typi2026-01-20 04:10

they also have pretty varied style at least with their anime songs. CotN's songs are quite quite diff from Mashle's (which I'm not a fan of either) and Dandadan

Noobu_assassin2026-01-20 03:46

Same I can't stand but if other people like it who am I to judge

Artsy7272026-01-20 04:19

its hip hop you love it or hate it

SicSemperCogitarius2026-01-20 03:32

Haven't seen it yet, (only just got a Hidive sub) but I personally enjoy that the series was named after one of the band's songs, and the author straight up requested their music be used as the OP & ED. And now as you said, we have since seen their music used in series like Mashle and Dandadan.

Artsy7272026-01-20 04:17

thats actually so fucking awesome dude... thank you

Sb3ard2026-01-20 03:39

Also in call of the night, the band makes a cameo in one of the episodes

Artsy7272026-01-20 04:17

WHA!?!?

dude_18182026-01-20 04:19

They're the guys who hit on Nazuna at the pool

Artsy7272026-01-22 02:09

Thats insane i had no idea

ParticularSimple8892026-01-20 03:51

their music pretty much one dimensional like hiroyuki sawano

migzy992026-01-20 03:51

You might also like [this music video](https://youtu.be/YhjIkkdS8sA?si=NRM0CfwuHdmc6G05) that was a part of the manga's marketing some years ago. It's my favorite music to come out of Call of the Night and also my favorite Yorushika song.

Artsy7272026-01-20 04:18

thats peak lmfao

dude_18182026-01-20 04:19

The manga was actually named after the Creepy Nuts song, and all three of the songs in the first season were pre-existing Creepy Nuts songs. Very glad they came back for season two

Artsy7272026-01-20 08:04

So insane i love it

lordposedyon2026-01-20 22:16

Thats not true. Daten and Losstime made for the anime, realeased at the same time as first season.

Mad_Aeric2026-01-21 00:27

When the episode with Losstime came out, it seemed like half the comment section was people demanding to know what that was, and where they could listen to it. And then we had to wait for the release.

BeefiousMaximus2026-01-20 05:43

If you like Creepy Nuts and Yaosobi, you might like this mashup of Idol and Bling Bang Bang Born it goes way harder than it has any right to.

Artsy7272026-01-20 08:05

this is suprisingly fire... since i literally hate the bling bang beat ngl

rainpixels2026-01-20 06:37

Insert song [Losstime](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6WjVGEVbNc) hits everytime!

discussatron2026-01-20 07:32

The S2 OP/EDs are two of my favorite songs by anyone ever.

Artsy7272026-01-20 08:07

really?? s1 was more my type of music, s2 i didnt rlly like any of the music there, but its good that its some peoples taste

KarstenWache2026-01-20 08:02

I'd rather have no music than the stuff it's played in that anime

Artsy7272026-01-20 08:07

whatchu got against creepy nuts bro 😭

TehZiiM2026-01-20 10:49

I love mirage but I don’t think it fits the anime quite well. But yes, creepy nuts produces banger after banger.

Check out myth & roid, you may recognise some of their most played songs on Spotify. All bangers, just very different to creepy nuts.

Also, queen from LiSa (shangri-la frontier op1)

darkcyde_2026-01-20 16:20

Many of the Shangri-La OP's and ED's are great. I like some more than others, but I'd put all of them on my rotation.

Artsy7272026-01-20 16:31

i didnt like mirage very much aswell lol neither did i like the closing song, s1 was my favorite music wise

Quirky_Call_48762026-01-20 12:38

only thing that got me through the anime tbh great songs dunno if people can relate to this or not

Artsy7272026-01-20 14:58

i would've watched it without the music but it was a contender to my enjoyment, did you not like the show lol

Komorebi_LJP2026-01-20 18:54

I really like the music of Made in Abyss, I think it stands apart from even all the other works of Kevin Pekin. Its much more instrumental though and is composed for the anime, rather than be an existing song before it

goreverminski2026-01-21 20:56

Don't particularly like Creepy Nuts, even if the first season OP is ok, but I *do* 100 % think the soundtrack and the overall audio work on the series is fantastic. What a mood.

Artsy7272026-01-21 23:09

I just like rap, and Japanese rap by Creepy Nuts is on par.

Mr_Rock-haley2026-01-22 01:44

Yeah Creepy Nuts absolutely rocks!!
My favorite is Daten, even though people prefer Yofukashi no Uta

Artsy7272026-01-22 02:08

Both are amazing, no doubt about it.
