Do you want something light and fun or more serious? Are you OK with love triangles, harems, or reverse harems or would you prefer 1:1 romance stories?
The Flagrant Flower Blooms with Dignity, My Dress Up Darling, and Komi Can’t Communicate are more on the light and fun side while Horimiya, Real Girl, and My Happy Marriage are more to the serious side. Anime like Skip and Loafer, More Than a Married Couple But Not Lovers, Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and the Inexperienced Me, and My First Girlfriend is a Gal are to the lighter side but can get pretty serious in places. There are also full-on romcoms with overt silliness and humor as well as romances that are more dark and/or sad. Any preferences there?
The other question for romance anime is that they are, broadly but not always, divided into anime with a male protagonist written for boys and men and with a female protagonist written for girls and women. There are some exceptions, too. I enjoy all of them but some people prefer one over the other and the shounen/seinen (boy's/men's) stories can have a different style (including art style) and feel than shoujo/josei (girl's/women's) stories. There are also some that deal with potentially troubling themes like incest (literal or step-siblings), cheating, and (usually only attempted) sexual assault that some people may want to avoid.

The only “romance” anime that had me GLUED. It outlines the discrepancies of what we truly feel and how we express them quite eloquently. While weirdly hitting that parts us we don’t yet understand. It had me bawling my eyes out. The next second, wondering if i ever truly experienced human emotions.
Its akin to the feeling of being heartbroken, left with an inexhaustible void and having to fill it with yourself. Realizing ALL relationships are 1-1 and no one can complete you.
