Trying to find an anime to watch with my friend

We have complete different likes and dislikes when it comes to anime’s. My friend like My Hero Academia, Bungo Stray Dogs and Apothecary Diaries. I like Castlevania and Devil May Cry. I want a show that is similar to both genres and kinds of anime’s, because if something doesn’t interest my friend, they just won’t even see it through.

Any suggestions? Any help.

Hi 3lliefant11, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch!

The users of this subreddit came up with [a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans](https://i.redd.it/0w1v880jtq661.png) and [an awesome longer flowchart](https://i.redd.it/vdzlkodz19c71.png). Maybe you can find something there that you'll like \^.\^

I tried to recommend them that and Vampire Hunter D to them and they just said no without looking.

Afro samurai. It even features Samuel L. Jackson

Does he just have a preference for more upbeat and friendly stories, and you edgy, "dark" stories?

Few combine those aspects well.

Death Note is only a maybe. Durarara could work. Chrome Shelled Regios is a possibility

Meeting in the middle between those two types, at least with the titles listed, is pretty hard. You certainly arent going to get much current stuff, though somebody would probably claim Frieren

Not sure if you've watched it but I'd recommend Chainsaw Man
