Seiyuu: The Shazam for Japanese Voice Actors

Hi everyone,

I’m working on an app called Seiyuu to solve a problem I think we all have: hearing a familiar voice in a new anime, knowing you know them, but not being able to place the name.

Instead of pausing the episode and scrolling through MAL or Wikipedia, I am building an app that works like Shazam. You just record a short audio clip, and it identifies the Seiyuu instantly. It also pulls up their other major roles and even their discography/merch.

I’m looking for beta testers to join the waitlist so I can release the full version to a dedicated group first. I [plan to attend Otamatsuri](https://seiyuu-app.vercel.app/#roadmap) and maybe get a booth to showcase the app further.

This is literally a non-issue and it takes 1 minute at most to google a character, find their VA, and find their past characters.

I totally get that. That’s actually exactly what I did for years, which is why I put off building this. But watching *Gachiakuta* recently changed my mind - it had so many *Demon Slayer* VAs that the constant pausing and Googling. I realized I just wanted the answer instantly without having to look away or stop the episode.
