Vampire knight guilty review

We won’t talk about the directing, art, or characters because they are literally 10/10… Except Yuki she’s stupid

The genre is important to mention here: action, drama, fantasy, horror, mystery, romance, vampire.

This anime is clearly more targeted toward girls because it’s romantic and dramatic ( I think )

The first season has strong mystery. You feel the mystery pulling you in, but at the same time they take the events at a slow pace. Its negative point that it’s extremely dramatic. At times it feels aimed at teenage kids, with that cheap drama like “oh I love you, I’ll die for you.”

The second season: skip it. Don’t watch it. It’s overly shocking and I never wished for the events to go in that direction at all, It’s better to finish the second season in your head, or if you really insist on watching it stop at episode 4. After that it’s trash, because they start revealing the mystery they were building in the first season

I feel it’s more aimed at girls. I don’t think guys will enjoy it at all especially because the drama is heavy

My rating for season one: 7/10

My rating for season two: the first 4 episodes 7.5/10 The rest… honestly I don’t know what to say but I’ll give it 3/10

Best character is Kaien Cross ENTP 5w4

The word “perfect” isn’t enough for this character. Truly. Very smart, very strong, the type where you know he’s strong through his personality. His way of handling conversations is impressive, how he avoids bad topics from the root, thank God he’s not married

Second character is Kaname Kuran, the pureblood vampire in the anime, INFJ 5w4

Maybe I favored them because they have the same enneagram as me, I don’t know. His personality in season one was wow but in season two he fell in my eyes ( disappointed me ) He took on too much responsibility to the point that the enjoyment of watching his character disappeared. He was no longer the mysterious person from season one

Third character: Hanabusa ESFP 3w2

This character really added a special spirit to the anime I think without him I wouldn’t have enjoyed it, He’s cheerful, smart, easygoing, and makes me laugh 10/10

But I don’t think the anime is that bad especially the characters because I noticed the depth of the characters and the body language they use. It might seem boring to you but as someone who always analyzes body language and speech I think the anime had depth, even in Yuki’s character. I understand why she became so irritating to viewers to that extent if you want I can explain my reasoning. My only problem is where the events were heading

To each his own then. I just personally don't think the series had any merit as a good series and it was so soapy I found it thoroughly uninteresting. I did think zero and kaname had way more chemistry then the heroine had with either one of them though, so if the author had gone the bl route maybe I would have found it more entertaining. The backstory for them would have been better also. I don't really get the analyzation of body language though when they're animated characters but you do you.
