What are some good and wholesome or funny slice of life animes.

i have terminal sickness and at most i may live from 6 months to 1 years more and I want some good anime recommendations to make my mood better. i sadly haven't been able to walk a lot and i have been laying on the bed all day in pain. please something happy. thanks.

This is the worst suggestion only because if you ever visit the Horimiya subreddit, it’s all “why is my soul crushed and how will I ever recover after watching this show?”

It is not a light hearted show. There are dark themes and an overwhelming sense of …. Bittersweet nostalgia. It is not a happy good ride.

Omg. It’s my all time favorite romance anime but it can be depressing AF.

Edit to add: OP has 6 months to a year left. Please keep that in mind.

Isshukan friends is quite wholesome if I recall correctly. City the animation and Nichijuo are chaotic but have truly wholesome moments tucked into all the silliness. And then, Natsume's book of friends and Mushishi are a bit more moody and less funny but are among my favorite series ever.

Sleepy Princess in Demon Castle and Tis Time for Torture Princess. Both have similar themes but are very soft and fluffy and fun.

"As Miss Beezlebub Likes it" is also soft, cute and fun.

Bocchi the Rock is a fun one too.

You and I are Polar Opposites started this season but it's so colourful and cute too.

And Otaku Elf. Very relatable.

Mood boosting anime for me tend to go near the fantastic so I will add some descriptions.

Kakushigoto. This is an older anime but the premise is that it’s a single dad that draws dirty manga and goes above and beyond to protect his daughter from it. Hilarity ensues. The only sad episode is the very end but …. BUT! It resolves itself beautifully. It is truly laugh out loud.

Witch Watch. Sort of slice of life but with magic. Stupidly funny and light hearted.

Campfire Cooking in another world. Do it for the dog and the slime. No trauma other than battling monsters and the constant sense that you need to eat something.
