Isekai anime with traveling hero getting into shut off city

I only really remember one arc, where the mc and at least 1 female are trying to get into a country that has completely shut it's borders due to a new religion, worshiping someone who is "chosen" because they can use the ancient device, just for it to be like an ipad and the mc unlocks it and breaks down the religion, I think there's a dungeon fight after?

Shield Hero?

Kjbcat2026-01-21 03:18

I'm not sure, but that is a great anime. I know they replace a ruler later on. But that wasn't a religion thing

I_happen_to_disagree2026-01-21 03:26

I haven't seen the first 2 seasons in a long time but there was definitely a religion thing going on and he couldn't go to another country because of the religion.

The 3 heroes religion? The one that basically says the shield hero isn't a hero?
Unfortunately it's not the right one as this was an internal completely isolated religion that was shown to be brand new in the anime.
Not like the 3 heros which seems to have happened after the last hero summon.
