Blackmail?

Drugs? Especially mushrooms. I watched Finding Nemo on shrooms and was transported to Shibuya at night with ground level fireworks.

You don't? You can't make people do things.
If you passionately talk about a show on occasions, perhaps they will show interest over time. And on occasions means every other month or so. If they show interest, there you go.

Pick some easily accessible popular ones that everyone likes and slowly get them into it. Like JJK is airing rn and everyone likes that. Same for MHA vigilantes.
deiner72026-01-21 05:59
What do they normally watch?
Affectionate-Can-2312026-01-21 06:01
Why do you have to make them 😂 just let them like what they like
ghostpickleonastick2026-01-21 06:04
Get better friends, is what I'd tell your friends to do.
Because, like, they're not trying to make you stop watching anime, so why not have the same respect?
Zeruma_2026-01-21 06:09
You can’t make them watch anything? If they don’t have interest in it you can’t force them to like it.
LordFrieza42026-01-21 06:09
You cant make them do let alone watch shit they don't want to. TF?
casca472026-01-21 06:14
Try to relate it to something they might already be watching. If they watch a lot of crime shows, recommend a crime related anime. A lot of people who refuse to watch anime do it because of the bad rep horny incels give it, or they think it's all fantasy based shows. Let them know anime isn't a genre, it's just animation of japanese origin. It's like comparing Tom & Jerry to Invincible because they're both cartoons.

I came here to say if your friends don’t fw your shit maybe it’s time to find new friends

I have a friend that i've known for about 5 years now, we have been throught a lot, drinking, going out, helping each other in any way. He never watched anime and he hates it. On other hand i am hardcore anime fan for past 10 years. Recommended some mainstream stuff for him to watch, didn't like it, and we left it at that. Are we still friends? Yes. Are we still together everyday? Yes. He doesn't mind i'm anime fan, i don't mind that he hates it. You can't make people like something, and that's okay, it's just prefrence

It wont work if they aren't interested. In HS I attempted to make friends watch some. They humored me and did watch some. But they would only watch with me. It wasn't their thing. I tried to pick pretty ridiculous shows that we could watch and just make fun of. That was our thing back then.
rayquazza742026-01-21 06:23
Make em watch one piece lol
rayquazza742026-01-21 06:24
No for real tho dandadan is super popular with the youth, easy to access to as it’s on Netflix.
Basic-Smell-87962026-01-21 06:37
My friend never watched anime before, but since he liked Star Wars and Pacific Rim. I introduced him to Gundam and now he's in love with the sci-fi genre of anime.
Level4Wizard2026-01-21 06:57
Kidnap him, tape him to a chair and have him watch ALL of One Piece in one sitting.
It's the only way, I'm afraid.
Or just invite him to watch one of your favorites with you, like a normal person.

First, you shouldn't "force" someone to watch something they don't want to watch. If they don't like anime, then they don't like anime. Also some people, just don't like watching animation. Nothing wrong with that.
Moving on, I would recommend watching a show with them that is similar in genre or vibe to non-anime shows or movies or video games or books or comics that they actually like. When trying to share anime with other people who are skeptical of the medium, you've got to meet them where they stand rather than trying to force them to like the things that you like or trying to force them to watch certain shows just because they are popular with anime fans. For example, if a friend is a fan of adult romantic comedies, they probably wouldn't want to watch a show like One Piece or a show like Madoka Magica.
